Finding stuff you forgot you had...

I'm one of those misers who buy everything used, and I bought an old DE army for peanuts just after 8E came out.  Guy was cleaning out his closet, which is where one finds the best deals.

I've been playing Chaos, so I didn't really look at it in detail until recently.

It's chock full of old pewter.  Incubi, scourges, wyches, special weapons, Yorrick grots, mandrakes, 2 Taloi...  Basically, all the stuff I couldn't afford when I first got into 40k because plastic was the only thing I could afford.

So I'm doing the happy dance.  Pewter FTW!

Nice find! How's the quality? Any painted, or is it a blank canvas?

The old Metal Talos are so ugly lol

The sculpting on it might not be a bit outdated, but i really like the old metal talos style.
I think the new talos is worse then the old one even though the sculpting is actually better.

Mostly painted.  Not great, but I'm not exactly a perfectionist.

I love the old Taloi.  They're ugly, but they're supposed to be ugly.  :-p

Edit: I'm not a big fan of most of the new models. They look like they're trying too hard.

I am incredibly jealous.

This thread reminded me that I have a couple of old metal.incubi lying around somewhere. I picked them up in an obscure toy shop a few years ago and havent got round to painting them. I remember the packaging having dust on it when I purchased them.
