| I suppose not directly related to the Dark Kin, but the current rumours were for a sort of double release of fantasy elves and space elves together. If those rumours are true we could be in for a codex sooner than we thought.
Here's the latest from GW, teasing the arrival of, I presume, Morathi and some evil elves in AoS.

| I would be OK with this marking a sooner release! | |

| She needs to eat a Snickers. Sounds like a right diva when she's hungry.
New Elven stuff is welcome for the sake of new conversion material.

| And if we are lucky we'll be like the Thousand Sons and have some fantasy models added to our codex. | |

| If the Dark Elves are getting snakepeople, that could also mean we'll have some good Sslyth conversion options coming soon. | |

| I definitely see why GW would want to add in Tzaangors to Thousand Sons to flesh out the army and allow them to perform a wider variety of battlefield Roles.
This is just speculation, but I see GW taking DE in one of 2 directions: 1) Kabal/Wych/Coven chapter traits (i.e. Kabal of the Black Heart is different from Kabal of the Poisoned Toungue, etc.) (this is my dream, but I am cynical about the likelihood). 2)each of those faction keywords will get a bonus for going mono-cult or mono-coven, in addition to unique relics and stratagems but there will still be benefits (albeit less powerful) for going mono-Drukhari. Essentially like how the new 40k Daemons codex works. However, if it is the latter (which is what I am guessing it will be) I think it is possible that, like the daemon codex, we might get new units (if not new models) in order to make mono-cult and mono-coven armies work better (I also think mono-Kabal armies could use a boost too). Only time will tell I suppose. In the meantime I am excited for the new developments in AoS.

| "In the form of her tormentor" well prepare thyself for slanneshi stuff too ... Cause who else would be likely to create snake people from Aelves? | |

Well, since I never play mono-anything, except for occasional mono-kabal, I'd much rather see syncronicity from taking a combined arms approach. Or perhaps different types of bonuses for taking mono vs. combined arms.

| AoS would be more exciting if my army was still relevant. It wasn't bad enough that 8th edition Fantasy was monster-mash but they made that borderline mandatory in AoS thanks to physically removing all the smaller troops from the game.
In relation to 40k, AoS's primary purpose has been for conversion material for 40k, that is, if the number of Morghast Daemon Princes I've been forced to tolerate is any indication. So yeah, I see this being beneficial in terms of conversion material. Here's also hoping Witch Elves aren't going to remain at $60 a freaking box.

here in Aus we pay $48 for normal wyches, so $60 isn't that bad.

| The Blood Coven box is surprisingly cheap considering that it contains a box of Witch Elves and a Cauldron of Blood, so I could imagine a Start Collecting: Daughters of Khaine box coming out which'll be pretty cheap too. | |

https://www.facebook.com/WarhammerTVteam/videos/516432058751777/ My understanding is that the rumour was for two sets of Sigmar elves, no 40K Eldar at all.

| They might do what we are seeing with the Thousand Sons, repurposed AoS miniatures (Tzaangors with an additional sprue for 5 USD that give you 40k weapons). I hope we don't go down this route but I wouldn't put it past GW now that we have seen this happen with one Codex.
However, my suspicious mind feels that if they do go down this route it won't be for any Eldar but Ynnari specific units.

The rumours I've seen put the AoS Elf release, and the 40k Dark Eldar + Harlequin releases at the same time. The Elf release is the only non-40k rumour specifically mentioned in the rumours, suggesting some sort of significance to the Eldar releases. Most likely not, and the Elf release doesn't mean a thing for Eldar other than conversion material. We're likely to hear more from the Las Vegas Open over the next couple of days about upcoming stuff. | You've clearly not followed what I'm saying buddy. I haven't disputed two elven releases for AoS or said anything to the contrary. All I've said is, the rumour had Aelves and Drukhari/Harlequins releasing AT THE SAME TIME, both rumoured during April/May. Which is precisely what the rumour I linked says.
Either way, we did learn more from the LVO and now we know our codex is on the way, so it's something of a moot point.
