That’s good news!

Seems like you have a destroyer/tank code, a flayed one/Lynch guard code and a warrior code. They didn’t get any defensive codes which is interesting

For the Nihilakh code, is that player turn or game turn?

and preceding movement phase, is that on your turn or does opponent's turn count as well?

So for example, even if I moved/disembarked on my turn, if it's my opponent's turn and my units (obviously) didn't move during their movement phase, can I reroll 1's for overwatch?

"Turns" only refer to individual player's turns, "rounds" is used to refer to the overall game turn.

So in this case, yeah, they'd always get to reroll ones for overwatch even if you'd moved on your last turn.

Yes, I suppose for Necrons they're kind of all defensively oriented enough already, it's up to the player as to what else besides being tough they want their necrons to be.

As for Drukhari traits, I would actually want traits that give us more maneuverability (like assault after fall back, boost to Advance, etc.) because I like to dial the speed up to 11. Failing that, I'm going to go for whatever trait gives me the most killing power - defensive tactics are for other armies but not mine. Oooh I'm so excited for our codex!

Something that bothers me for the moment is the fact that Drukhari are best played at very long range, and that doesn't feel very piratical assault.

I'd love some doctrine that give super good bonuses for playing up close.
- -1 to hit under 12"
- +1 AP under 12"
- Increased rate of fire when in rapid-fire range

I think people should feel uncomfortable playing vs Dark Eldar. The opponent should feel claustrophobic, feeling surrounded by units that can jump to his face at any time.
For the moment, my opponents feel like a cat frustrated by an annoying fly he can't reach.

Sautekh: Looks good.

Novokh: Might be alright occasionally, but Necrons aren't really a melee army to begin with and you don't even get the bonus every turn.

Nihilakh: Seems rather dubious on an army with few long-range weapons.

Mephrit: I rather like this one. A lot of Necron units want to get close anyway for Rapid Fire, so this is a nice bonus for pulling that off.

Nephrekh: I like the flavour but I'm not sure how much use it will be. Maybe if you could take it with the Sautekh one above.

Nothing there fills me with confidence. If anything it looks like most/all of Necrons' current issues are going to be left unresolved.

Agreed.

I think the issue is that we get less from moving close to our enemies than we lose from bringing ourselves into range of their (usually far more effective) weapons.

Those are cool, I like them. I want traits that make me want to advance because I hardly ever use it because why lose 1 to hit just to move annextra 3.5”

That means they could legitimately announce Drukhari upcoming on April Fools Day, and the next day postpone it for a month.

On the Necron traits, I'm assuming you would want to have multiple detachments to take advantage of those different Codes on different units. I like that rather than one trait dominating too much.

Look at Imotekh rules, that is how Vect should be. Good bufs to the troops, good shooting and good on melee. I'm pretty sure that our beloved GW doesn't give us a HQ like these.

And look too how the C'Tan powers are choosen, seems that our drugs will recibe a beautiful nerf soon.

Anybody else praying Dark Eldar play testers are as leaky as the necron ones? We could start seeing some info in a week or two if they are.

Well the splintermind guys said they are not allowed to talk about it until the preorder date is set, so I'm guessing the necron people might have had the same and figured that the talk about forgebane and thus necrons right after and the community article about the necron traits was enough to quality.

So yeah theoretically the moment we get an official date and some more articles for dark eldar, we should start seeing a flood of stuff.

Just takes one dude who says "screw it" for the codex to drop. There's one guy for each Tau and Necrons who were the source of all the info: Haechi and Superwargamer respectively.
Had nothing to do with forgebane announcement - In fact, I bet the announcement came earlier to counteract the leaks!

The leak for Necrons came before the community article. Fairly certain that article was to try and get back in front of the leaked info.
