The Scions of The Black Pyramid Empty
PostSubject: The Scions of The Black Pyramid   The Scions of The Black Pyramid I_icon_minitimeTue Mar 20 2018, 08:55

The Scions of The Black Pyramid are a formerly aristocratic house of Commorragh. Over the course of millennia before, the Soporian family were a noble house with close ties to the ruling houses who controlled Commorragh. The Soporians were known to specialize in city combat and trained many of the bodyguards trusted by the ruling elite at the time of the Birth of Slaanesh, and retained this position and trust for sometime after. However in the aftermath of Asdrubael Vect's treachery, the Soprorians saw the future clearly and bid Vect their loyalty. Vect considered the advantages of such an alliance but also saw the potential of perfidy or betrayal at a later time. The Soprorians were allowed to aid Vect by assassinating those they guarded but were forced to make another large sacrifice after Vect had won. They were given the option to join the Kabal of The Black Heart as a raiding party, but they had to execute all the leaders who were loyal previously to the aristocracy and kill the remaining 75% of their own in order to be less dangerous to Vect as a faction in his own Kabal. This request was met with no mercy and completed less than an hour after it was issued as an ultimatum. Due to this the family is certain they will not usurp Vect in any future and now focus on trainng and realspace raids against juicy targets, like Third Legion Slave ships, Imperium Hive Worlds, and Forgeworlds. Allies within the Wych Cult of Strife, The Prophets of Flesh, Incubi and on occasion Drahzir himself have been seen on raids with the Soporians, and are known collectively as The Scions of The Black Pyramid; after the upside down obsidian floating pyramid they return to after raids in North Eastern Commorragh.

Currently the Soporian family make up the Kabalite warriors of the Scions, led by Archon Teles Soporian, who is the field leader but is often not respected by his cousin, Archon Ikoris Soporian, who leads the Trueborn into battle and whom considers himself superior in battle to Teles. Ikoris is accompanied by a Medusae who is attached to the body of his Twin sister, whom had been defeated by Ikoris after she had led the Trueborn for over 500 years. Teles also owns a Medusae but allows it to follow Ikoris for signs of treachery, foolishness, weakness, or sentimentality.

The Wych Cult allies of the Soporians are Cult of Strife but also fairly unique gangs. Succubus Lebrysil leads a pack of Wychs and Reavers who are skilled gladiators. Succubus Eriz'kigal commands a pack of Hellions.

The Haemonculis Coven have placed their unpopular experimenter Hazar with the Soporians, due to his interest in Daemons of Slaanesh, of whom he wears a flesh coat composed of. After thousands of years he has vendettas against Fabius Bile, a host of Warpsmiths, The Dark Angels, The Death Guard, Painboys and Weirdboys of several Waaaaghs, and Genesplicers from the Adeptus Mechanicum. His Talos Qwarn is always close by and he is guarded by a pack of Scourges created from lesser Soporian Trueborn who failed to make the grade and join Ikoris and his elite Kabalites. They are far more loyal to Hazar than their cousins and siblings in high standing of the Kabal.

Finally often a squad of Incubi will either escort Teles or Ikoris, or they will use the webway to strike behind enemy lines. On occasion Dahzir has been known to arrive, often unbidden and when he does Teles and Ikoris will allow him to do as he wants.

Loving the fallen bodyguards idea. What are the aspirations of the kabal? Simply survival or an underlying motive?

Yes, post Codex I might trim a few things and expand on a few others, for one Hazar's interest in Daemons will be a driving force for him, I find it easier to use a Haemonculis warlord than an Archon or Succubus because I want to use them dangerously. I had to rip off the arms of some ex Trueborn and make them regular Kabalites at least as far as load out goes, however I have had fun painting my Drukhari units.
