Correct. Black Heart is good but labyrinth cunning/living muse relic archon isn't the end all be all of the entire list. Yeah he's great for buffing ravagers but he can't be everywhere at once, while the flayed skull trait works everywhere for all occupants of our transports. Plus ignoring cover is a really handy benefit on top of that.

One of the positive things about black heart is the Warlord trait which is perhaps the best warlord trait in the game. I have averaged getting 4 CP back every game. So a player can confidently put several transports in reserve (by spending 1 CP for each) knowing they will get some of the CP's back. But of course this is a dice game so no guarantees.

Flayed Skull raiders for Wyches/Grotesques sounds very useful to get them up the board and into combat as soon as possible.

While I'm sure DE players will quickly become comfortable with sharing transports with different obsessions across detachments to maximise utility, I remain skeptical that the average opponent will be able to keep track and not think you're cheating.

I would only feel comfortable doing this if all the relevant units had very distinct paint jobs so that it was always obvious what was going on.

Yeah, walking Archon with Flayed Skulls/Obi Rose Kabals inside Black Heart raiders and splinter racks.

Ah I see. The reroll and ignore cover benefits are on Flayed Skull kabalites rather than being conferred to the passengers by a Flayed Skull transport.

Yeah, I actually do think that's how it works though I'm not entirely sure that will survive the first faq. We'll see, not quite sure where GW wanted players to do with that trait. That being said I'll likely remain a purist, I like my full flayed skull kabal so far.
