The Reaper

Given all the updates and points deductions in our new codex - does anyone think the Forgeworld Reaper is still a viable option?

It's cool looking as hell but I get the feeling Ravagers are the future - thoughts?

It will have a place in lists that double-down on heavy support.

I feel like it used to be competitively priced but now it's slightly overpriced and underpowered. The Heavy makes it much less appealing, and now that blasters are more prolific and more powerful and Disintegrators are so much cheaper there's just not a niche for it.

I think it'll be used in gimmick lists for Esoteric Kill until it gets FAQed out or unless it gets a pretty steep price drop.

It and the Tantalus are the only heavy support choices Wych cults have. I can see it becoming Kabal only like the Ravagers. I would wait until the FAQ.

It's the same price as 3x Dissie Ravagers. No thanks.

Tantalus is amazing. If it gets to keep Coven/Wych obsessions since it's a transport, it is capable of quite a few very ridiculous things.

I used the reaper at a few tournaments in the past couple months. It is very good as long as you roll 3 or more shots. The only negative from my experience is that it is uses a Heavy weapon so if you choose to move it will suffer minus 1 to hit unlike Ravagers do with dark lances. Ultimately Ravagers are better but it is fun to change it up sometimes.

Having 1 might be worth it only for the fact it can be Coven and stops Advancements

If you are not using it for either of those 2 reasons IMO its not worth it now

Tantalus is best sniper lol, 12 S8 -3ap 2D shots... and can instead splitin 1/2 and shoot 2 characters lol

But for 150pts its freaking good sniper
