Assigning drugs

Obviously you can either roll for them, or choose but no duplicates. But can I cherry pick my first few drugs, and then roll for the last couple to give myself a chance of something useful, rather than only having a leadership drug left to pick? Or do I have to generate all of them in the same way, either picked or rolled?

Either you pick them by hand or you roll for everything.

But I wonder If I have selected all six, can I then distribute the rest freely?
But does the Stimm addict count as two in this regard? I would say yes.
E.g. I have 8 units and I chose one of each, and the two leftover can both get what ever I want?
Question is, I don't have to fill out every option agaain and again, only once, right?

I don't have the codex to hand but if the index wording is essentially unchanged I don't think that's right. You can mix and match choosing and rolling. The only restriction is that if you choose, you can't pick one that's already been taken until all 6 have been taken once.

Yes

So I could pick out the 4 useful ones and then roll for the final two and hope for something better than leadership or movement. Knowing my luck I'd get strength on reavers every time haha.

I just read over the wording in the codex and Count Adhemar's ruling sounds right to me. Basically means you can say, pick the +1 attack drug on a unit, then roll for your next unit and hope it also gets the attack drug.

I don't think so, it gives you the distribution method which says you roll for them. And then there is an alternative method which means you can pick (with restrictions). But surely not both ,RAI, I guess. A FAQ could give deeper understanding. Unless officially allowed I will not mix both.

There's a discussion going on in the Drukhari FB group at the moment and the consensus is that you can indeed pick the ones you want and then roll for the rest.

though there seems to be a couple of people who are adamant that you can't. I don't have the codex with me, but I'm 99.9999% certain that the index wording allows for choosing/rolling on a unit-by-unit basis, and nothing has changed on that front in the move to codex.

The codex seems vague enough that the highest paid lawyer for either side would probably win.
