| So rereading combat drugs got me thinking. To me it seems to imply after you get through the 6 drugs, you can then stack up as many as you want of any single drug if you wish. The wording of the rule reads: - Quote :
- Alternatively, you can pick the bonus the unit receives, but if you do this you cannot choose a bonus that has already been chosen by another unit until all six combat drugs have been taken once each.

| Well, RAW indicates that you could for example take 3xdrug A and 1x Drug B,C,D,E,F in a cult detachment consisting of 8 units with the combat drug rule. | |

| Yes, that seems to be my read of it as well. Assign six unique drugs, then duplicate one (or more) of your choice as much as you want. The more cult units you have in a list, the more this benefits you. | |

| Oh we've had a long discussion about this in a prior thread months ago, I got waaay too into it.
and yes you are technically correct. once all 6 drugs are chosen, you can go ham on the rest. Which brings up the problem of having small 5-man squads of Wyches to get over that Drug Tax.
Alternatively, if you only have 4 units with drugs, pick 3 that NEED specific drugs and then just roll for the last one, hoping to get one of the good ones on your Hellions or whatever.
That being said, I've heard that a lot of Tournament Organizers like to have Dark Eldar players decide their drugs when they hand in their lists, which totally ignores the idea of rolling for drugs at the start of the game.

| Barry, I don't know if it sets precedent but the London GT primer said that only relics were to be on the turned in Army List. Warlord traits and psychic powers could be chosen at the beginning of each game which is similar in concept to combat drugs. | |

As far as I understood, you either pick the drugs, (meaning that you first need to assign 6 different drugs and can then indeed just use the one drug you want several times), OR you roll for drugs. I don't think cherry-picking 3 good drugs, and then rolling for the rest is allowed. Although I seriously hope it is, because that would improve my army quite a bit. :3

- Before the battle, roll on the table below to see which combat drug the unit is using. Alternatively, you can pick the bonus the unit receives, but if you do this you cannot choose a bonus that has already been taken by another unit until all six combat drugs have been taken once each.
For each unit you can either: a) Choose a drug that has not already been used (unless all 6 have been used), OR b) Roll randomly, in which case you could still get a drug that has already been used

| ^yep, what he said.
So you actually can cherry pick the drugs you want and roll for the rest, which we also further decided was only good in cases where you have less than 6 Combat Drug units.
