Air Based List (2000 Points)

This is just an idea I had for an army mostly based around having a strong air presence. Tell me what you think!

Ground Force (Patrol)

1x Archon w/ Splinter Pistol and Huskblade (76)

1x Dracon w/ Blast Pistol and Agoniser
4x Kabalite Trueborn w/ Darklance, Splinter Cannon, Shredder, and Blaster (124)

It can be tricky sometimes with just 4 fliers I can't imagine plotting out the flight routes for 8. Navigate with caution!

Yes, I can imagine lots of crashing before I get the hang of it, but hey, sending your own men to a fiery death full of warp energy and scrap metal is just part of the fun!

You've broken the rule of three...

Right...the "Rule of Three", if you're not aware: If your opponents/gaming group are using the Big FAQ rules then you are limited to no more than 3 of any non-Troop unit, so you'd have to scale down to 3 Razorwings and 3 Voidravens.

But honestly...that might be a blessing. I'm not the Napoleon of 40k by any means but I feel like driving with FOUR fliers can be a little tricky sometimes, maybe start with a bigger Air Wing than usual and scale up from there or 'settle' for two Air Wings of 3 ?

Keep in mind that once your non-fliers are destroyed, that's it for you...if I'm your opponent I'm sinking everything I've got into your Ravager, Raider, and Venom, and all I need to do to defeat your 6-8 fliers is move obnoxiously.

Shrink the number of fliers for sure. I'm amending my two cents haha.

You both make good points, thank you for bringing these to my attention! Mostly I just wanted to go crazy with planes, and ended up going a little too crazy =P
