| Would you guys spring for 1 mixed battalion detachment, or 3 patrol detachments to take advantage of the obsessions? Curious on your opinions, thanks! | |

| I would rarely go for a mixed battalion detachment. 3 patrol detachments were fun, but also have become slightly lackluster since the battlalion gives more cp and is relatively cheap. I nearly always take one nonmixed battlion and some others (sometimes the 3 patrols). A cheap battalion is only 1 HQ and 2 squads more than a patrol, this sounds like a lot, but if using them as alpha strike deterrent and keeping them cheap, you only pay 130-150 points for them. If you take 2 patrols together you just buy 1 squad to get a battalion, practically that means 30-50 points for another squad and another command point. (I don't have any coven so putting two patrols together is for me quite easy) I find those small units usually still work quite well for objective grabbing and board control. I must admit I play more casual than competetive so while I do like to have a function for each unit, if something is not the most optimal unit it does not bother me that much.

| Me? Neither, i just play 2 Battalions and a Air Wing, or something like vanguard/spearhead, etc...
Battalions for use are cheap, even at 1k you can do a nice comp list with a battalion and a spearhead or something else.

Neither. The FAQ rendered the 3-Patrol thing garbage, and I've no interest in losing out on Obsessions by running a mixed detachment. My go-to is a Kabal Battalion as the core of my list, usually with either a Cult outrider or Coven Vanguard supporting it. 2 Battalions is also possible, though at that point I start to struggle with transports a bit.

| I've just written a list with a Craftworld Battalion and 3 Drukhari Patrols but that's for specific reasons. Normally I would just go with 2 Battalions plus [whatever]. | |

| 1 Battalion, 1 Air Wing, and usually 1 Spearhead (or Outriders for Wyches, Vanguard for Coven...as I tend to put my lists together, anyways). | |

| Thank you all for your suggestions! I'm seeing some things here I think I'll try out, probably going to leave Wyches out of my list in favor of fitting in more other units I like more. Thanks again! | |

| 200pts I usually choose...
Flayed Skull Batallion Red Grief Outrider Prophets of Flesh Spearhead
Sometimes drop the Outrider/Spearhead for a Flayed Skull Air Wing if I'm running 3 flyers.

| My usual setup is a Black Heart battalion + a Cursed Blade Battalion
i also tried a Poisonned Tongue Airwing for necrotoxin shenanigans, but Black Heart FNP 6+ on the aircrafts is superior imo. (i'm also thinking about a Silent Shroud harlies deatchment + Dark Creed for some fun)

| Dreaming Shadow helps more than Silent Shroud, I think, if you’re bringing Dark Creed. Silent Shroud does what Dark Creed does, but better, so having both is a bit redundant. | |

| Just a quick question here
If we take multiple detachments (like raider party from codex) can we mix characters in transports? I mean take succubi and archon in <Kabal> venom for example. I`m think i saw something about this somewhere on the forum, but not sure.

| Yes, you can mix as much as you want. | |
