Alternative Archon Model

I know it leans more towards fantasy than sci-fi, but do you think it could still work as an Archon?

Out of interest, can you think of any artefacts or such that could represent the spell/creature thing he's holding?

I'd suggest the Animus Vitae would make sense - short range weapon that causes mortal wounds could easily equate to horrid soul bird flying over and eating your face.

You could also pretty easily claim it as a Helm of Spite - its not a helmet, but a soul construct that seeks out and attacks psykers.
