Purest of Pure Black heart army 1750

This is the army I'm thinking of taking to a tourney in jan 2020. I feel it represents the Kabal of the Black Hearts massive numbers and resources, and yet could be quite good in tournament. (alot of dakka (63 dis. cannon shots!). Thoughts?

You will struggle against anything with good invul. I'm thinking about those nasty nurgle flys

That's nothing really new though for our army as a whole, it's not like we have a whole lot of units that can shoot right through an invul. You could take haywire scourges for that, but with 63 disintegrator cannon shots, I don't really think that is necessary.

Only thing I might change is taking less half full raiders. Yes dissie cannons are great, but you could shave off one or two and take more warriors, or maybe take some venoms. Overall though seems solid to me.

Is this ITC, ETC, RTT?

Mass splinter do well against infantry with high toughness and invul.

Infantry sure, but there's a lot of high T models with invul saves that poison doesn't work against- knights come to mind.

Those are dealt with with haywire

They are, though we sadly don't have as much easy access to haywire as I would like. Talos don't do it very efficiently, and scourges often don't last long to make enough return on it. That being said I've had good turns with scourges of stripping 8 wounds off knights sometimes, that's a pretty good return on them.

There is a reason why many DE players ally in a unit of Skyweavers, 6D6 Haywire shots on a -2 to hit, 3++ unit is really strong.

Yeah boy that's so many more shots than scourges, not to mention harder to kill. I like being a DE purist, but that's a real potent tool.

Thanks for the replies guys. The tournament is kinda mix of maelstrom and eternal war missions stuck together with a relic mission in the mix as well, there will be 5 missions to play over 2 days. normally between 20-30 players at it.

I love themed armies, and find it a challenge to come up with a decent heavily themed list that will do reasonably well at a tournament. I tend to hamstring myself somewhat as a result! I also use these tournaments tp push me to get certain elements of my army painted.

Last year I brought a black heart brigade with 3 ravagers, 3 units of haywire scourge and 3 units of mandrakes which performed reasonably well. This year im kicking out the mercs, only trueborn allowed, so hence the list,

I don't really do allies, it just doesn't feel right to me. lord asvaldir, I like your suggestion about dropping a raider or two. Its given me an idea........thanks.
