I would go for Experimental Creations over Obsessive collectors, it'll mean that your venoms are getting +1 to wound on anything T4 and below.
Also you can do the extra relic before the game starts but after you see your opponent's army, so keep your CP until then before deciding to take the helm of spite, as you may end up playing a non-psychic army like tau or necrons.

Yes, I was playing with experimental creations and they annihilated infantry. Just now go to a hybrid list venoms and talos with Dark Technomancers-Obsesive Colectors. the +1 to wound is great on the talos and healing them by killing a model is amazing
