What units can give me a slot for a Dedicated Transport?

If I look in the rulebook in the Battle Forged section, it says that you can take one Dedicated Transport for each other choice. Is this faq-ed or does this mean that a Spearhead with just 1 Haemonculus and 3 Talos can also take 4 Raiders? (...that I can then use for units in other detachments, but while benefiting from Dark Technomancers)

That is correct - 1 Raider/Venom for each other unit taken, regardless of whether or not the unit in question can actually use it.

Units that don't take up a detachment slot also don't count.

I am surprised this didn't get faq-ed. But I am definitely going to use this. :3

Why would it need to be faq? From day 1 in 8th people has been using flyers, heavy, LoW's, etc.. to take transports. Its the only way to get Transports onto the table, they have no slot to be taken like other editions.

It is kinda dumb that a Ravager can take a Raider transport, but its a well known mechanic of 8th.

Makes DT Coven transports easier to spam, so we should not be complaining

LOL, in 6th/7th your Transports had slots, so you could take transports with dedicated transport. You could have 3 FA slot Venoms take 3 Dedicated Venoms.

Only if you think of it as dedicated to transporting that unit. A military tank company has all kinds of non-tank vehicles attached to it for reconnaissance, maintenance, and general support functions.

Where are we supposed to stash our slaves if we don't bring a little extra transport capacity?!

However it seems in the leaks of 9th this is now changing to 1 Dedicated Transport per Infantry unit.

Yes, it is 1 per infantry unit now.
