I wasn't sure if I had enough mobile objective grabbing or screening for the big guns. Those of you with more experience in 9th might be able to help me out. Do you think this might struggle against certain opponents or in certain missions?

I also wasn't sure what the other custom coven trait should be. None really seem to add anything meaningful.

You really should build your list with an eye on some Secondaries that you plan to achieve. Some easy ones for us involve:

-moving/deep striking into the enemy deployment zone
-setting up a transporter in the enemy deployment zone
-raising a flag on an objective
-killing certain targets (mass infantry or vehicles/monsters)

Try to get a few games of 9th and you will start to see what I mean. Building lists around 'kill stuff" is not as powerful as it used to be.

Ultimately your list looks good, with lots of mobility. Just dont let your bloodlust take over and forget to grab those sweet VPs

hi similar to list i put in test this days
i prefer two unit of 2 talos.
Not urien but a homunculus with vexator mask..is very very strong versus alpha strike unit
I will remove one unit of wrack in the prophet dethachment and one unit of kabalites and the venom

And put in the DT dethacment units of 5 wrack with 2 liquifire gun and a raider.
So in a raider you have 10 wrack and 4 liquifier gun with DT are veryy anti marine.
i put 9 in list ^^

I have only played 1 game of true 9th edition, at 1500 pts, against Nids.

My two units of 2 Taloi got wiped off the board with no problem. I think you need units of 3, so that you can spread out more and still be within Aura range for the +1T.

I would merge the 2 units of wrack in the PoF detachment. Having access to the black cornucopian stratagem, it's useful to have a max unit to regen, if possible. You're already paying for those wracks, anyway.

I have slight variations on the list, swapping urien for a vex homunculus but couldn't decide which I preferred. I guess it's a trade off between an effective +1 to wound on vehicles and T4 infantry vs the ability to fight first in most cases. Until I get more games in I guess I won't know which I prefer.

Your point dumpeal about the wracks is a good one. Do you think the survivability and mobility of that 10 man squad would make up for losing the ability to spread out as far (sitting on different objectives and screening the backfield) that the 2 5 man units has?

DT suicide wracks in a raider does sound very fun! I'll test that in my next game and see how it does

Fisheyes, did your 2 talos units get wiped by shooting or melee?
