Black Library is soon to release "SILENT HUNTERS". The preview reads:
"With a millennia-long hunt close to it's end, Carcharadons Chaplain Manu must redouble his efforts as he ventures into the nightmare city of Commorragh".
Any bets on the damage and bodycount a single ASTARTES Chaplain will rack up against the NPC faction on it's home turf?

Wouldn't surprise me if he causally outwitted Vect, headbutted Lelith to death, proved himself to be a better scientist than Urien and then killed Urien in a way that negated his regeneration and also killed everything he'd ever made.
For an encore, he goes back in time and kills The Duke, Lady Malys, The Decapitator, Vect (just in case), and Baron Sathonyx. Thus perfectly explaining why those characters were deleted from 7th edition onwards.

Would be a pretty short book if he entered commorraugh and was immediately ganked by a razorwing flock. Funny, yes... but short.

A friend once lent me a Salamanders book where a Succubus named 'Not-Lelith' traps a group of Salamander meringues in a maze for days, constantly attacked by beasts, monsters, and the environment itself until they are weakened, starving, wounded and exhausted. Eventually they are driven into an arena where she faces their unarmed chaplain, who can barely stand, and prepares to deliver a dramatic killing blow.
And then he shouts, 'For the Emprah!' and kills her with a stick.
Utter rubbish.

Ahh, yes. Firedrake, by Nick Kyme.
Definitely one of the most mind-boggling cases of the dark eldar getting Worfed in the name of Bolter Porn.

Why did you remind me of that? Now the waving of a pointy stick in the preview article on warhammer-community feels like a hidden insult.
