Hi there,

First batrep, since I had a tourney last weekend and felt I should contribute with something to the forum Smile

My list (1800 points this time):

Haem+WWP+liqui
5 wracks + liqui
Raider

Haem+WWP+liqui
4 grotesques + liqui
Raider

1 x 5 incubi

1 x 3 trueborn, 2 blasters 1 SC

2 x 15 wyches, nades, Net, Heka, Ago

2 x 5 warrior, 1 blaster

2 x 6 jetbikes, double lance

1 x Talos, flails, TL HL

1 x Cronos, the S3 AP3 pie plate

Game 1, 3 objectives, 30cm from the edge (I just can't remeber the names of the missions... xD)

Vs GK

Cheap inqui

2 x psyflemen

2 x 10 knights, double psi, hammer

1 x 10 "jumpy" guys (75cm teleport)

1 x NDK with fists

I start and he reserves EVERYTHING.

1 Raider moves 30, drops Haem with wracks and WWP, the other turbo's, basically drawing a V shape, the top 2 spots having a WWP close to an objective, the bottom objective close to my edge.

Rather than going into a turn by turn account, here is what I learned/did:

- Rapid fire is wicked. Yes, I knew... but the combined fire from 3 squads wiped out my first wyches... at least it took 3 of his units!

- The liqui continues to be a wet dream: first shot, AP 2 and AP 3... on a 10 GK bunched up unit... 18 hits, 9 dead marines (go go theoryhammer). Fun fact: the surviving marine captured a point and won the game ¬¬

- The wracks have quite a psicological effect: wow, they're T4, yeah, the tough guys of the DE... and Holy Molly, the grots have T5!!!!! They draw SO MUCH FIRE...I love those 2 units Smile

- Quite underwhelmed about my jetbikes. I have played them in every simgle game I've had with DE... and love them. But on saturday they didn't perform. I guess they went out partying on friday... thanks for telling!

- Talos and cronos are powerful tools... but need to be placed properly. They are SLOW and cannot be used at 60 cm... or 3 turns until the get into CC. Even the shoot Cronos needs to get upclose and personal: I gotta remember that!

Epic of the game:

Heka (ago), net and wych ASSAULT 8 marines! He was like, huh? I'd rather have a 4++ than a 6+ Wink What do you know... after 3 turns, he finally managed to kill them, but only 2 marines survived!!!!! Those 3 bitches saved my backfield for 3 turns!

kool this is the second WWp list iv seen and it looks so random and i dunno jus doesnt fly with me lol

its go hardly any anti tank and only 2 raiders lol


how did ur other games go?

I actually think he has a decent amount of anti-tank, it's not great and it is pretty locked up in assault tools, but it's still a decently deadly amount.

And lack of transports is half of the point of WWP. you don't need them thanks to popping out of portals and what not Wink

I need more practice games with my current WWP list, but as it stands now I just rolled 24 rending attacks...and got 1 rend Sad . That makes me very sad face lol

ok lets go thru it 1 unit at a time jus so u can see lol

incubi str4 against armour 10 it means theyll glance on 6's after hitting at worst on 4's not a greta start

trueborn with 2 blasters 60% chacne to hit on average 1 will miss then its 50% chacne to glance and average roll is 3/4 resuting in a 1 or 2 result on the damage table

haywire grenades require 6's to hit the average is 3/4 6's out of these ull roll 3 glance 1 miss and 1 pen at best

warriors with 1 blaster 60% chance to hit 50% chance to glance average roll 3/4

jet bikes with heat lances str6 and if ur not in 2d6 pen range then they need 6's to glance

talos/cronos MC with 2d6 pen is probably the best anti tank he has and at 1800 pts its not gd enough especially if ur entering tournaments

with dark eldar u have to work on the averages goin badly rather than looking at the red herrings and goin oMG that look awesome

If you consider an MC good anti-mech I'm not sure why you're so down on the grenades, except for Walkers (whom Wyches have other benefits versus) grenades and MCs will hit a vehicle just as accurately, and he has enough Wyches to easily be considered a high level of attacks for a Talos. Plus, with a swarm of Wyches and HWGs you can often manage a wreck instead of an explosion, which can oftimes glib the enemy trying to disembark (especially with IG working the back table edge).

I think you're really underselling what HWGs are capable of, they're possibly our best anti-mech tool, in my opinion, the only negative is you're leaving Wyches out in the open when using them.

i dont consider a MC good i consider it gd for this list as i play venom spam with 12 blasters and 10 dark lances i struggle to deal with mech armies like guard adn grey knights etc

1800pts is alot thats 2 landraiders for most marine armies and loads of tanks for guard

no bcoz even if u glance a tank 2 death next turn ull lose that squad coz a 6+ save isnt really a save at all and if u play DE at tournaments trading unit for unit is not the way to win
