Faked Leak: Dedicated Transports limited

There's a new balance update coming next week that got leaked early, and there's one already monumental change for us:



Dedicated Transports are now capped at 2-4 depending on the size of your game, so you're probably looking at 3 in total at 2k points.

This is... pretty major, and possibly the most substantial nerf to our faction I could think. Raider spam? Dead. Venom spam? Dead. Neither were doing too well at the moment anyways, but this straight up murders them. Even a couple of Raiders alongside a couple of Venoms is now going to be illegal in your average game.

So. That's fun, assuming this isn't faked.

Christ, I hope that means "per unit".

I'm getting really frustrated with these constant hits. My win rate is nowhere near what the competitive scene was seeing, and this is just getting worse for me.

I hope this is wrong All I do is play Kalbalite since third. This is wrong this just destroy my list for Adepticon. I know I wasn't going to win it but I was going to have some fun. If this is true I will have no other army ready to go with. This is @#$%^&*()_.

Our T3, W1 models in t-shirts will just have to footslog across the table into Tau firepower. What could possibly go wrong?

Given the frequency that GW plans to adjust and rotate these changes, I think there's going to be serious chatter amongst the tournament organizers. Constant rotations make it REALLY hard to plan an event around, especially when there's a cutoff date for army lists, etc. People need time to plan and practice!

Not sure what 'transport heavy' armies have been dominating the tournament scene lately. I didn't think Tau and Custodes were really all that into transports.

Why don't they just say "We want to kill off any competitive Drukhari lists"?

Maybe they're trying to. They just want to be able to phrase it lots of different ways.
But they're definitely killing off any casual Drukhari lists.

I hope it means "Max 2-4 Venoms, AND max 2-4 Raiders", to avoid spamming 6 of the same units or something. But I'm afraid that's not what they mean. If that's the case, I'm definitely quitting until 10th edition hits. List building just isn't fun anymore, but that's like half of the game.

Yeah, I edited it because apparently it was just a photoshopped image from a random Discord. Worryingly believable but hopefully we can all breathe a slight sigh of relief for the moment!

Where does "apparently" come from?
I saw people claiming it as fake, but also lacking in evidence. So far the screenshot looks more legit than claims of fake-hood.

But the wording itself it's not from the usual WH articles, and the 1-3 lieutenant limits it's obviously a joke.

The whole came up when the post was said to have been on WarCom, and then immediately taken down again. The claim at the time (which we're still unclear of the truth of) was that it went live too early (which has happened before) and there was no PODF to link it to yet.
