Making broken ruins bases

Seriously, I've seen these bases in person. They are most impressive

I've done the sprue bases too. Works fine, but not as impressive as these.

Awesome bases going to use these for my Dark Eldar. Question though do you specifically need to use Super Sculpey to have this affect or will standard air drying clay work ?
