1000pts army list......new to 40k

as the titles states im new to dark eldar and somewhat new to 40k (fantasy player)

so im not looking to build the ultimate min/max list, and im trying to be somewhat unique and not trying to have the same tourney style list as everyone else. just somethign i can have fun with and not being completely inept

Sounds like a cool game plan.

Where do you plan on fielding your HQ units?
Archon with incubi, and skip one wych and have haemie go with them?

Could be an idea to try to shuffle your archons wargear to sport grenade launcher if he goes with incubi?

those are great ideas i was thinking about having them as independants, that sort of follow units instead of being attached for flanking reasons and such. But if thats a better way to field them i can run the wyches at 9 and the incubi at 4 but what should i do with the extra points? beef up my HQ units

phantasm grenade thingies on archon is almost required.

Could be an idea to add haywires to wyches also?

Considder skimming off some more points to get a raider for your warriors. footslogging warriors are not necessarily alive for very long. And the added mobility should help them get someplace with fancy cover quicker.

newbie question but since its an open topped transport can the warriors attack while inside the raider, and ill get the nade on the archons

Not entirely sure of the exact rules (check the rules section for indepth discussions), but as long as the transport does not move, they can fire. With the splinter racks-upgrade, they can fire as long as the raider simulates regular troop movement.

Keep in mind though. not moving incredibly fast when inside a paper plane will lead to casualties...
