Skaredcast Battle Reports and more - 6e --=10 May=--

@ Mushkilla- I actually like the evade dynamic... you save the points and fly off the table if there is trouble, come back next turn if you survive and blow something away. Because it is an AI platform the rzwing does not want to get into a fight with other planes (in my case) so if they decide to shoot at it its prob dead anyway... so cheaper is better. As you might have seen, it almost died... i was lucky enough to make one evasion. But it came back on to rule the skies!

Newest Batrep Sixth Edition - 1500pts Dark Eldar vs Teslacrons

Aug 16th Batep 6, 6th. DE vs Crons - 1500pts First game against the mechanical wonder that are the necrons in sixth edition Sadly Cron army not -fully- painted (two cryptecs worth!...)

Great to see you prevailing against the Ancient Enemy! Love to see Reavers doing their thing and slashing Necrons to bits.

They were awesome.

Skari! Love batrpes/podcasts and the blog. But i'd love to see your army lists in a written format just to help us aspiring Dark Eldar generals.

Do you find 1500pts to be the best point level in 6th? Or do you wish you had more points to play around with.


Why the blood brides?

@thelordcal - Thanks for the comment! I shall try and make an army list page on the blog that I can link to in the batreps to give more of a written representation of what is going on.

I like 1500pts, armies at this point level have to be well thought out. For the major tournaments I prefer 1750-1850 as this gives you some more points to put into the toys that we all love.

The bloodbrides were a test... more haywires and plasma grenades, meaning I can drop the phantasm launcher on the archon. But I am thinking of dropping them for trueborn, for grenades as well, but also because a cheap dracon can soak up challenges so the archon can kill the unit.

Sadly no DE video this week. (although I have posted up a game with my playing my imperial giard if anyone is interested)

I did have a game with the dark kin tho. Played a game for the escalation campaign that I am running at the lgs. 1000pts vs an Imperial Guard player. Was a lot of fun, a bloodbath. I lost by 1 vp, he snagged first blood from me and then was able to wipe out my line breaker wyches.

A few tactical notes:
- My beastpack was once again, awesome. They tackled a 20 man guard mob with a lord comissar, and although they ultimately died. They did only leave one sarge and the lord alive.

- The FW raven strike fighter is a hoot. Vector dancer and strafing run really help mitigate its simple weapon load out.

Sept 8th Batrep 8 Tau vs Dark Eldar 1500pts Fully painted

i feal somewhat sad for that fully painted tau. They looked very good...ah well, more souls for commorragh ^^

Man, blacksun filters really are handy. I hope my buddy doesn't switch back to his Tau any time soon...

Yeah, Tau having flat out night vision is scary. Especially when they go first and have 72" ranged guns. Gotz to love LOS blockers.

I truly love your style, I must say! Even listening to your voice and humour brings a smile on my face :-) Big contrast with so many other batreps out there, which I skip because I just plainly dislike some of the people playing...

A great battle report! I have actually looked at your battle reports encouraged myself to adapt some elements of them in my own 1500pt lists, such as haywire wyches in a venom or incubi & archon in a venom, stuff that I had shied away from towards the end of 5th ed.

Today's batrep was particularly exceptional I felt. Although that may just be bias for the awesomeness of a challenging HuskTrap Archon and Incubi!

Have you considered using the Klaivex in that group at all?
Also how are you finding the Eldar Allies still?

I did run a klaivex in the unit, to make sure my archon was not challenge locked and could go about killing things.
