Just getting back into painting, new to DE

I'm Patrick, I've been playing 40k intermittently since shortly before 2nd edition was released.

I've recently committed myself to get back into painting, and wanted to start with a new project, and decided on the Dark Eldar because of their beautiful miniature range. Most of my previous 40k experience has been with Craftworld Eldar and Space Marines.

I'm currently in the planning/saving stage for the army, so I'm sort of gorging myself on all the great forum threads here - I've already gotten plenty of ideas about how to go about my army. The main thing I'm looking at is whether I want to paint it, and how difficult conversions will be. I have very little experience with conversions or sculpting, but want to at least have unique Coven units as opposed to GW's "here's your one Haemonculus and one Grotesque" range.

I also am trying to get some ideas for converting Baron Sathonix, Lady Malys, and Duke Sliscus. If anyone could direct me to specific threads featuring other people's conversions, that would be great.

I have the same basic story. I got back into 40k just to paint, while I do plan on playing as well, my main thing is to paint

I recently ordered a ton of DE: megaforce, razorwing, more hellions, etc...Anyways, there is a wealth of great information on this site and great people to convey that information.
