| Ok.. this is my first post here so be kind!!
I'm just wondering about Vect, his dais and using Harlequins.... Obviously the Harlies can't take a 'dedicated' transport.... but... with Vect and the dais and the requirement to have 9 other models in there... would it be legal to put Harlies in??
I've had a pretty good look in the codex and can't see for the Harlies that they absolutely can't start in a vehicle... they just don't have the option for a dedicated transport....
The rules for the dais simply say that you have to have 9 other models in at the start, so I'm leaning towards thinking you can put harlies in....
I don't get involved in tournaments, and only really play for gits and shiggles, so I'm not too fussed about how competitive it might be.... just think it would be quite fun putting Vect and a load of Harlies to work together and see what happens....
This I guess would also bring up questions like whether the Shadow Seers veil of tears has any effect whilst they are in the vehicle??
Anyway, thanks in advance for your thoughts

| Yup you could start the harlies in there , though it would be 1 Gajillion points of fail in one place that can have your day ruined with a single lucky shot ...
Vects car is a crapfest, vect is pretty good but mega expensive and does little for the rest of the army like other similar 5th ed characters do , then we talk about quins, they were not particularly brillinat in the CWE book without psychic support , with it they are pretty good and probably worht the outlay.
They have no place in a DE army to be honest , Incubi and wyches do it better for less.
Sadly no, the veil of tears does nothing for a vehicle, it should , but then again hammerhand should not stack .....
Sure run it out for fun , it might work in a casual game , its asking for miserable punishment in a vaguely competitive setting.

| I agree with sorrow...
Even going basic naked harlies your looking at 600+ points!
Compared to 9 naked wyches your on 530 and to be honest, you can run them naked while the harlies are just over priced that way.
Plus the wyches score...

OFCOURSE they score, they have boobs! Oh wait, you meant objectives..... I have to agree in using wyches if you're planning on running Vect in the Dais. When playing for fun I will run Vect because it's fun to see my friends tremble at the sight of him on the battle field. They hate when I roll 2+ invulns all night and they can't break the field! I have a hard time EVER justifying the Dais of Destruction because it is treated as a raider. It's a huge point sink despite having 3 lances and better armor. Perhaps if the Dais had aerial assault and the ability to get the flicker field I would remotely consider fielding it. But alas, it has neither and I will probably not ever include it in "serious" lists.

| Thanks guys...
Yes I'm well aware of the ridiculous points it all costs, and that wyches would be a much more sensible option.. but the object here is to have a laugh and just to see how it goes... I've never tried running Vect at all before so will have a go and at the very least it will be entertaining... in the, you just blew up half my army sort of way!)

| Consider trying wracks as a cheap option. They survive the crash better, give vect FNP and make him T4 | |
