Hi all

This is my 1,500pt. Wych Cult army list, which I've used in a few games and it seems to do pretty well - so far, my win:loss ratio is about 3:2 Smile

The only big change recently is the addition of the Trueborn/Venom squads, which have perfromed exceptionally in the games I've used them in - they've wiped out whatever they've been pointed at, from Guardsmen to Grey Knights!

The torment grenades on the one Raider was just to use up my last spare 5pts.

HQ

Succubus with agoniser. x2

TROOPS

7 Wyches, inc. Hekatrix with agoniser. Haywire grenades. Raider with disintegrator & torment grenade launchers.

7 Wyches, inc. Hekatrix with agoniser. Haywire grenades. Raider with dark lance.

8 Wyches, inc. Hekatrix with agoniser. Haywire grenades. Raider with dark lance. x2

ELITES

4 Trueborn (2 with splinter cannons, 2 with shard carbines). Venom with 2 splinter cannons. x2

HEAVY SUPPORT

Ravager with 3 disintegrators.

Ravager with 3 dark lances. x2

hmmm its not a bad list have u tried playin IG yet or full mech with 8 dark lance i think ud struggle iv had problems and had 2 improve anti tank alot

drop 1 for vect hes a must for alpha striking Smile

Elites

trueborn x5 SCx2 shard x3 venom with SC nightshields u get 3 extra shots Very Happy

trueborn x4 with 4 blaster venom SC nightshields x2 great for anti tank bcoz of weight of fire

troops

same for my wyches except i have 2 units of 10 and darklances and nightsheilds nightsheilds are a must the 6" reduction messes people up so much

ravagers all need DL as they can move and fire everything which is important for anti tank

it may look like these changes reduce ur anti infantry output but u have plenty of wyches with splinter pistols as well as the trueborn unit and wyches are great incombat so u dont need a high out put of anti infantry shooting

Thanks for the suggestions, but adding Vect, extra Trueborn and nightshields on the Raiders & Venoms, and only taking out a Succubus comes to 334 points over the limit! What do I take out?

The only suggestion I'd make is lose one of the succubus and 1 wych from each of the 8 man squads this gives you 105pts for a 3rd Ravager (I'd give it Dark Lances to shore up your long range anti-tank). The only other suggestion I'd make (and to be fair I don't know where to get the points from) would be for enhanced aethersails for the raiders as these allow you to put your army in reserve if you need to and be in assault range the turn after you come on.

iv seen eather sails mentioned but iv never used them if ur gunna do that u dont u jus hold them in reserve and turbo boost???

It means you can hold them in reserve and still get into range or get close quick if your opponent tries to keep distance combined with nightshields it can give an unwary opponent a nasty suprise. You aim to boost at around 19" (or closer if you can get out of LOS) from your opponents line (you have to put on pressure with multiple units) if he stands still most of his weapons will be unable to fire (majority of weapons are range 24) if he moves then he is in even worse trouble (rapid fire is only 6"). Next turn the undamaged raiders move 12 disembark fleet and assault.

Also last turn you can boost to contest objectives (add a shock prow and you can tank shock or ram at big speed).
