| Hey mates, i was sitting and looking at coven rosters and was thinking how to squeeze max from this concept.
I went to something like this.
HQ: Haemonculus Ancient Power Weapon; Soul-trap x1; Shattershard
Troops: Wracks 7 Wracks Liquifier Gun x1 1 Raider Grisly Trophies
Troops: Wracks 5 Wracks, Liquifier Gun x1 1 Venom, SC
Troops: Wracks 5 Wracks, Liquifier Gun x1 1 Venom, SC
Heavy Support: Ravager 1 Ravager, Flickerfield
Heavy Support: Ravager 1 Ravager, Flickerfield
Heavy Support: Ravager 1 Ravager, Flickerfield
Fast Attack: Beastmasters 3 Beastmasters 4 Khymerae 4 Razorwing Flocks

I dont own any of the Coven stuff yet, except for Urien. But maybe roster such as this in future will set what to buy of the torturers of Commoragh.
Ok so its mainly Wracks with Liquifiers and a hitting squad of them in raider. I chosed Haemy Ancient in his nasty load out purely for thematic reasons, he can use his shattershard with soul trap to good effect, sniping fists before assault, maybe unlucky IC to have double strenght and then to assault into fray with Furious Charge S4 power Weapon.
2 Wracks with Liquifiers in Venoms - those are assgned to general cleaning duty, be it marines or termagaunts.
3 Ravagers - no comment here.
Beastmasters - backup in case of Lance Fail, and some more assault power. Cheap, durable, effective, somewhat thematic.
So mates, please do any comments, changes, advices, rants etc... | |

| Just keep in mind that neither of your assault units have grenades of any sort...
That being said, your raider doesn't have a FF. | |

Yeah, but on the plus side i have a good way to deal with enemy in Area Terrain. I rarely need FF on assault vehicles.They are either Flat-Outing, or already disembarked what they carrying. On gun platforms like Ravagers they are certainly more usefull. Do you think concept itself playable? | |

| It is very playable. The one change I would do though if you want to make it more competitive is instead of the small 5 man squads of wracks, change them to 5 man warrior squads w/ blaster. But that is because I dont like how little darkmatter you have, which is hard to come by in a coven list | |

| I'd drop a ravager, unless you plan on playing someone with more than 3+ vehicles in 1k points. My point being, if you have an opponent with 4 vehicles, 2 ravagers should *hypothetically* be able to take them out in 3 turns, leaving 2 turns doing nothing much. 3 Ravagers might deal with 4 vehicles in like 2 turns, maybe 3. I think it's better to spend those points elswhere.
People rave about blasterborn, I think splinterborn are better. My 1k list is;
1xArchon w/blaster
3 x blasterborn, venom w/sc 5 x splinterborn, venom w/sc 5 x splinterborn, venom w/sc
5 x warriors, blaster, venom w/sc 5 x warriors, blaster, venom w/sc
1 x ravager w/flickerfield 1 x ravager w/flickerfield
Run 9-10 wracks in a raider, probably 9 for morale effeciency. This also makes them more survivable. | |

| I already have Kabal list. That is a thematic coven list. And about Ravagers, thats a big luck i kill 2 vehicles during whole game with 3 ravagers...
THere is mechanised opponents, Fast MechBA list, chimeras-LR list..etc...generally people like mech in my parts far more then hybrids or foot armies.

| Sorry my mistake, why not take 3 x talos with TL haywire blasters and TL liquifier gun? at 5pts cheaper than the Rav's, you'll save 15 points (I know not much) and well, your guns are more likely to glance/pen for sure, plus 9 - T7 wounds to knock down well that's probably more scary in 1k points! | |
