Demagoge´s upcoming Dark Eldar army

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share a few pics of my first unit of Dark Eldar Kabalite Warriors. I really like the minis and it was great fun to paint. I hope you like the results. Feel free to give me some feedback.

Sexy stuff! The colors really work well to complement each other producing a cohesive and well-balanced look. Paint more!!

I'd have to agree with ESE above, they look really good.
I personally might have looked to limit the number of edge highlights as too many can confuse the model, but they're still really really striking to look at.

Thanks for the first feedback. It was really fun to paint them, but finding the right amount of edge highlighting isn´t that easy.
At the end I liked the lava look even though it was more intense then I originally expected.

The Hagashîn, Hellion and so on will get a little different color scheme, but I hope they´ll fit together.

Wow! These are spectacular. The colours all work so well together, especially the contrast of the orange with the metalic shoulder pads.

Looks really good even though I am normally not a fan of red that is too bright. It works well in this unit, you might have convinced me to go brighter myself actually... Great work!

I really like a bright red. You should try it out. Normally it looks really fine if it becomes a little orange. You should give it a try.

I´m actuallly painting the Hyemshîn and there I´ll go for a not so wide color range. I´ll start with a brighter red and will finsih with a bright red (not orange). Perhaps you´ll like that more.

That is a nice colour scheme, bright colours with good contrats, and well executed. Clear and tidy highlighting. Your completed army will look amazing Michael!

Well tried it out myself with orange highlights and...I like it actually. Maybe pictures were off or people used different reds I dont know. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!

Love to see how the other scheme works out compared to the others.

@ Gobsmakked: Thanks for your feedback. Thinking of the army we are talking about the distant future.
But perhaps this day will come.

@Frideth: Glad you like it. People are often afraid of bright colors, but I think DE or Eldar really look better with brighter colors. Painting the Reaver Jetbikes is really hard. It´s difficult to achieve a smooth color transition on the bikes. So it will last a little till I have finished pics. But I´ll post them as soon as possible.

Hi everyone,

after a few distractions and a lot of work I finished the 3 Reaver-Jetbikes. I just wanted to share some pics with you. This is the color scheme I will use for the Wytches and Hellions and similar models.

These look great! I especially like your reavers! Your warrior eyes look splendid also. What brush do you use I just bought a Dickblick 0 and 0/3.

thanks for the feedback. My main brush is a 0/2, but I use a range of brushes from 0/5 up to 1. The really important Thing is, Not to use synthetic brushes. Better spend a few bucks more.
