Shardnet and Haywire Query

So I know this may seem like a stupid question but I came across this idea. If I assault a walker with my seven wyches and they have a Shardnet and HWG, does the effect of the Shardnet still work if that Wych wants to attack with her grenade? I mean because the Wych herself isn't attacking with the Shardnet but instead using her grenade, can I still claim the bonus?

The shardnet only requires the model to be in base contact so yes, it would work.

yup, you dont attack with the shardnet to get its effect, it just has to be there

Yep, and thats why wyches can finish off even Furioso.

That is why I tend to keep at least 1 full wych squad with 2 nets and haywires in reserve to deal with Dreadnaughts - they often reduce the dread to 1 or 2 attacks and the wyches just slowly glance the thing to death.

Remember that if you stun or immobilize a Dreadnaugh that the next round you get to use your haywires using your WS (usually "4's"). Once they are immobilized though they tend to get knocked out the next turn.
