Custom Baron Skyboard

I was doing my daily eBay crawl and happened across this:

It's an enlarged skyboard, built out of most Raider parts. Had to share it as I really like it, very original idea.

Yeah, that is nice - though I think it's probably too large and would no doubt cause LoS/base size arguments used in any competitive gaming environment.

My thoughts exactly. While it does look great and demonstrates a lot of creativity, it might actually be too large (ohmigawd!). But it shows how the Hellion Skyboard design can be extrapolated into bigger versions of it.

(A nice attempt on it can be seen here, where someone used the Skyboard design for a jet fighter.)

Nice, I'm not a fan of special characters myself, but nothing to say that converting a piece like that couldn't be used as a pimped up reaver jetbike...

personally I had some of the OOP hellions, and their skyboards are considerably bigger than the current ones.

you'll have to add some splinter barrels to it and a phantasm grenade launcher, but those are easy conversions.

if you're okay and cutting plastic card, the Baron's board basically is a batman symbol, so it shouldn't be too hard to replicate that.
