Can you now soul trap anything that's a character?(ie SGTs, Nobz) if so that makes it MUCH more useful. If anyone knows or has tried let me know. THNX!

No, the Soul Traps explicitly works only on Independent Characters and Monstrous Creatures. Nothing in the FAQ to change this.
