| I'd swap the Flickerfields on the ravagers for some nightshields. With the new jink rule your fast skimmers will be getting a 5+ coversave all of the time anyway . I don't have a lot of experience with lilith nor baron, but fielding them both seems... Well isn't that HQ section pretty expensive? | |

| I like the switch to powerlances on the hellarch and the wyches. If you are sticking the baron in with his boys you don't need the PGL on the hellarch. NSs on the raider instead of ff is probably a good idea. I like the list, hope it does well.

| keep the PGL on the helliarch, this allows baron to go off on his own if he has too.
I am not too keen on how many Dissies you have, and would atleast switch the raiders over to DL as well. You really dont have much AT outside of haywire nades, and with how your list is up your wyches need to be AI oriented, not AT.
Overall though give it a try. Its not the most optimized list out there, but it should be fun

| Thank you all for the comments.
First of all a bit of background. This list is based on my 5th ed list that I've used from time to time. Indeed more of a funlist than a pure competitive list. Running of course agonisers, teh PGL weren't there, no razorwing but an extra ravager. And of course no dissies.and 3 reavers with heatlance.
Now, on the Helliarch's PGL. Like mentioned here. This way the baron can drive off on his own. Indeed, wasn't sure about the dissies on the raiders. Maybe switch them back to lances.
I'll think about the nightshields on the ravager.
About the powerlances. I'm not tha keen on taking power axes. I try to stay true as much as possible to our credo: strike first, strike hard, strike fast.
Again thank you.
Yours B

| Power Lances are not Power Axes now. Lances are are quite good for Wyches and etc for charging MEQ and worse.
The Dizzies are nice on Raiders I would keep them and give the Razorwing DL's for hunting enemy flyer's.
I feel like with such Expensive HQ's and large Wyche squads that like list might be short on units. There are obviously a lot of ways to change that but I would think dropping Lilith and some of each wyche squad for another troop choice might not be a bad idea.

I know, My bad for the poor formulation;-) I tried to say that I see quite a lot of DE-players arguing o favour of the power axe. However I tend to disagree as the power axe is unwieldy. So the power lance seems to be a fine alternative for our much loved agoniser. Orthien, your suggestion to switch Lilith for an extra wych squad isn't that bad at all. Something to keep in mind. Thank you. Yours B

| I think the big push for power axes comes from the fear of termies. The only CC we have that can crack their shell is the power axe. Even with the power lance, you can't crack their armor. This is the same with a unit of anything else with a 2+ armor save hq in front. Gotta have that one heavy hitter. | |

| Morning Dark City Well, I finally had my first encounter in 6th against Space Marines. My initial build list didn't stay the same though. Taking into account the given comments this is the list I've played yesterday evening: Baron 7 wyches: haywire grenades, shardnet /impaler; hekatrix with PGL and powerlance Raider: dark lance, nightshield 7 wyches: haywire grenades, shardnet/impaler; hekatrix with PGL and powerlance Raider: dark lance, nightshield 7 wyches: haywire grenades, shardnet/impaler, hekatrix with PGL and power lance Raider: dark lance, nightshield 13 Hellions: helliarch with PGL and powerlance 5 scourges: 2 haywire blasters Ravager: 3 Dl, ff Ravager: 3 Dl, ff Razorwing: splinter cannon, dark lances, shardfield missiles, ff Total: 1495 - Night shields are still great
The Jink rule made my opponent nuts:-)
The Haywire blasters are nice
Dark lances still work, however I've got this feeling that a dissie or 2 wouldn't be bad - not sure yet
Wyches?? They tore apart a dreadnaught in no time -haywire grenades I love thee:-) In combat on the other hand, they don't seem te have that cutting edge anymore. Two units of my wyches did held up two 10 man marine squads. But in the end they were finally cut down by them.. So, will need some more playtime to decide.
Hellions didn't see combat at all. They just had to claim an objective in the end
The Baron is the baron. He was deployed with the scourges in cover, which was really nice. Unfortunately the Dreadnaught was able to torch my scourges. The Baron did survive
. It was a nice battle. Just need to get the hang off the new rules. Yours B
