In light of 6th edition's rules changes, I thought I would take an opportunity to fiddle around with shooting capabilities. This is a 1000 point list with some emphasis on different shooting weapons, both in an attempt at an active list and an attempt to get a better understanding of the mechanics of more of the different guns.

Victory through overwhelming firepower is the name of the game. 18 DL weapons, 6 venom cannons (36 shots), 10 shardcarbines and a Disintegrator Cannon to knock down a termie or two (if i'm lucky) from afar. Concentrated firepower can knock out any major threat from 36", and then move in for the kill at 18". Two venoms w/ troop choices can zoom off last minute to grab objectives, while the archon, shardcarbine boat and ravagers keep the ball rolling. Even termies have to fall from enough AP2 and a shower of poison.
