| @glz - full gunboat fire at 12": vs MEQ 2.77 unsaved. 1(!) Disintegrator 36" vs MEQ: 1.33 unsaved. A dissi raider can carry a nother unite, say cc, while the gunboat cant and is only effective short range. | |

You don't even need to hide your sails.

As much as I'd like for you to be right on is one, I do believe the sail is a functional part of the Raider (read: not ornamental or decorative in nature). Here is the next sentence after that quote...

Personally I think it's closer to a banner/antenna then a wing (not to mention the sail size vary rather dramatically (one of the bits only has the stems, and could easily be considered antenna). If it was played as part of the hull I would use it to deploy wyches on the top floor of buildings! EDIT: I have a better one, I'm going to shoot all my splinter rifles from the tip of the sail/mast if you say it's part of the hull, and as units in an open top transport can fire from any point on the hull my splinter fire can ignore the cover provided by screening units and other terrain! (I have this image of ten kabalites trying to balance on the top of a crows nest on the mast) Things get pretty silly if you consider the sail to be part of the hull.

| Hehe, I never thought of that One caveat is that it's already kind of silly that all ten passengers can shoot, even if a tiny spike of the hull has sight, so the tip of the sail wouldn't be that different. Same kind of deal with disembarking: are all the Wyches balanced on the tip of the hull to jump out with the best range? I think it's one of those things you could play legally either way, just depends on how your group/tourney wants to treat it. I know everyone always wants to shoot at my sails, that's for sure. | |

| Gun boats work wonders on Necrons once they hit the field. If you pop the squad in shooting they stay down. Worth note if you ever play a none jet spam necron list | |

Not sure what you mean by this?

| blind, even with rerolls i really want to see you do something to 20-40 warriors. A full gunboat with cannon, racks and disint in 12" is 6 dead, 3 will get back up, so you only killed 3 from a round of shooting. It takes 2-3 GB to gun down a squad of warriors, and that gets you very dangerously close to the enemy lines with a tissue paper propelled by supersonic engines transport. | |

| Count - If you kill every member of the squad, they don't get back up Enfernux - 20 to 40 is one thing but squads of 10 or so are another, and special units that have even lower squad numbers are just asking to be free pain tokens | |

The way you wrote your earlier comment it looked like you were saying they couldn't get up after shooting attacks. As Enfernux mentioned, it takes a lot of firepower to reliably down a decent size warrior or immortal squad. I've played with a 20-man Warrior blob with Res Orb Lord and they are a nightmare to shift! I put them on an objective in ruins and there were still 16 of them left at the end of the battle

| 2 gunboats maximum torrent from 12" from the 10 warriors will kill them. But when are warriors further than something very very nasty? he sacs max 200pts, you will most likely lose 2 gunboats, that are 180+, making it 360. 200 for a 360 trade? Im game. | |

When he's super excited about his destroyers [or other elite/fast/ whatever non vehicluar unit that would be annoying and got too close] and what they're going to do to your ravager turn 2, and suddenly he has atleast 3 saves per model from 1 squads shooting, because his 'really nice' T value is negated... by your formerly hellgun warriors, who now have a free pain token... thats a good day, and makes him cry inside... which is like a free IRL pain token
