The Big Thread of Illustrated Battle Reports! (6-7th edition)

I just thought It would be nice to collect all the great battle reports with diagrams people are making in one place (maybe even get it stickied eventually). People are putting a lot of effort into making these beautiful reports and it's a shame that some of them sink into the darkness unnoticed. Not to mention they are a great way to share tactics a tricks, and help players learn from each other.

Guidelines
For your report to be sticked, it needs to clearly depict your turn and your opponents, using some form of diagram (MSpaint, vassel, battle chronicler, etc). I appreciate not everyone has time to mess around with the tools mentioned above so you can use photos as long as they show a clear overview of the whole table and ideally you add some arrows/markers to represent movement and objectives.

So... where's your newest one? I've run out of reading material!

Hopefully I can get mine done and posted soon. I finally got a 2000 point game in last Saturday against Space Marines. I've never done a battle report before, and this is my first go at using Battle Chronicler, and it has been a little wonky at times.

Yeah, BC can take a while to get used to (sometimes the cursor accuracy is off). Great that you are writing a report, especially for 2000 points (more variety of game size the better)!

I was hoping this thread would spur people on to post illustrated reports, I also numbered the battle reports so people get a sense of accomplishment. Fingers crossed we will eventually get this stickied.

As for my next report I'm writing it now.

I'll have to start trying to figure out BC so I can write up some reports and put pretty pictures in. I'm currently playing a campaign with my Blood Angels so might practise on them first.

Any program you have access to that works in layers is useable. I do mine with Microsoft Visio... so not AS polished but gets the job done well enough.

Sorry about that must have miss read it! Anyway fixed and linked to your new report. If you are using battle chronicler and need any help just let me know and I will help you as best I can(sometimes it can be a bit uncooperative).

Great source of enjoyment and tactical inspiration, this list!
I have not played any DE games yet, but I will be posting them in the forum when I start!

There's a battle chronicler tutorial is stickied at the top of the real space raid section.

May I suggest that you underline all the usernames? it is kind of difficult to separate where Battle Reports with different creators start! (yours is easy to find since it's so huge though)
A different colour would work great too!

FYI guys, Ive taken over the duty of updating this thread with Batreps, but I also dont always grab everyones Batrep. Please message me whenever you guys post one and Ill add it to it. Remember it has to be Illustrated too, so no txt ones please

Woot! Thanks Mush! My tournament is next weekend, so I'll be back to the Dark Eldar the following week, should have a new batrep in a fortnight.
