Getting Started

So I've been wanting to play DE for a while, and recently came up with a pair of Battleforces and a Venom.

So the question is, what is a good "starting point" for a list to get into playing and then building - say 500, 1000, and 1500 point levels.

Also, I can get some additional items, so please feel free to suggest things, but I am only looking to play DE, none of this allies nonsense.

Battle force is a good place to start, also reading the Codex too. Understand how the units are built (like 5 man, 10 man etc etc).

Also figure out your own personal playstylr. Do you like to shoot or assault. Then build lists from there.

The website is a great place to propose ideas on unit builds and get some feedback. Best place to start is what type of armies do you face now (friends, club, LGS, etc etc) and workout what it takes to beat them.
