| *insert random grimdark greeting involving blood, death and pain*
So with that taken care of, I could really need som help with my army list for a small local tournament. I suspect I'll be facing Tyranids, Daemons, Eldar and, of course, Space Marines. The Space Marines could be either vanilla or SW/BA. I'm trying to keep the list as fluffy as possible but I would like it to atleast have a chance (the other are fairly competitive). Right now the battleplan is very straight forward. Get into close combat (hopefully not to ruffed up..) and let the wyches do thier thing while the Splinterborns attacks either monstrous creatures or the smaller tough units. The blasterborns do what they do and the Ravagers backup the units that need backup.
This is a quick draft on the list I was planning to play.
HQ (235) Succubus (Warlord, Goes with the Bloodbrides) - Agoniser
Duke Siliscus (Goes with the Splinter Trueborn)
Elite (695) Kabalite Trueborn, 9 - 2 Splinter Cannons - 7 Shardcarbine Raider - FF, NS
Kabalite Trueborn, 5 - 4 Blasters - 1 Splinter Rifle Venom - NS
Hekatrix Bloodbrides, 8+1 - 2 Shardnet and Impaler - Hydra Gauntlet - Syren - Phantasm grenade launcher - Agoniser Raider - FF, NS
Troops (460) Wyches, 9+1 - 2 Hydra Gauntlets - Hekatrix - Phantasm grenade launcher - Agoniser Raider - FF
Wyches, 9+1 - Shardnet and Impaler - Hydra Gauntlet - Hekatrix - Phantasm grenade launcher - Agoniser Raider - FF
Heavy Support (445) Ravager - NS Ravager - NS Ravager - NS
Total 1735
I'm thinking of swap one Ravager for a Cronos Parasite Engine or if I change some things in the list perhaps a Razorwing Jetfighter. Also, should I go with Dark Lances or Disintegrator Cannons? Then there is the fact that I only got 2 Troops.. Should I change the Bloodbrides to regular wyches or maybe try to find the points to add a unit of warriors? Note, the FF on the raiders are to give me a bit more survivability the first round. Thou I'm not sure if it's worth the points.
A quick sumary on what models (new and old) I got to play with atm is the following - Lelith - Urien - Sliscus - 2 Haemonculus - 30 Wyches - 30 Warriors - 20 Wracks - 15 Reavers - 3 Ravagers - 1 Venom - 6 Raiders

| Venoms would be great against those armies, but as you only have 1... I would suggest putting more warriors in, they can help shoot down the CC units coming in. You should never take bloodbrides. They are more expensive wyches that do not score. A foot slogging Cronos would no mesh well with your mechanized list. Reavers are the bomb. Disintegrators may be useful here, since most of those lists have little vehicles. Disintegrators are especially good at brutalizing longfangs. The Duke can go with some warriors, their damage output is not significantly different than trueborn and they score. You need at least 4 scoring units to be competetive at 2000(some would say more). | |

If I change the Bloodbrides to regular Wyches I free up around 40 pts, thus having 55 pts to add stuff with. Any ideas? True it would not be ideal conditions for the Cronos. I really like reavers but I can't seem to find the points for them this time. I think I'll keep the Duke where he is right now.

| You probably still need another troop choice, even at 1750. | |

| I would second Bruce's comments you need to get at least 1 more Troop choice. You could save points with dropping the Bloodbrides to Wyches and I would argue for dropping Wyche Weapons too. I would also say drop the FF's. With Jink saves they are a lot worse than they used to be and once the Wyches are in CC they are only saving a single Lance. With the points saved you could net a Haemy to FnP your Succubus squad or similar. Consider also Eather Sales on your Wyches to throw then into CC faster since you won't be disembarking turn 1 anyway.. | |

| Looking better. What would be your aim with the 10man foot squad? Is it just a troop option to fill points? | |

| How do you plan on taking mech lists?
Mech lists have 3 targets to shoot at in your army then you most likely have lost the game...

But right now I'm thinking to either overwhelming one flank (hopfully this will deny my opponents full use of firepower) and advance from there or by assulting on two flanks forcing my opponent to divide his firepower depending on the terrain and as always, cling to cover like there is no tomorrow.
