General DE Storage Questions

I'm looking at finally getting some dedicated storage for my new DE army, and would appreciate advice.

Scourges: Do you prefer to store them vertically (standing in a deep tray), or horizontally (with the weight on the backs of their wings)? Even though they are light-weight, I am leery of putting any stress on their delicate bits.

Raiders and Ravagers: Vertical or horizontal? If vertical, do you go with a tray deep enough to accommodate the pikes, or make the pikes removable?

The battlefoam raider tray is actually perfect; standing upright on the flying stand.

'Twas tempted to close this as it is very similar to all of the other transport threads we have but as it is just about storing I'll let it go on...

First of all, experience has led me to say never store your skimmers with the bases on as it will wear out the joint or worse case scenario, cause it to snap.

I store my vehicles vertically with a deep enough tray to accommodate poles and sails (however I do magnetise my sails).

Also most importantly, no matter how well you pad your Dark Eldar, how perfectly you place them in a case, they will break and snap and cause you to lose every sense of justice with the world.

That was one concern. Since my transport trays will accomodate the flight stands, for storage I was figuring on removing the stands and adding a cushion of packing material to protect the dainty bits on the undersides of the skimmers.

Truth. That's why my DE vehicles no longer have pikes.

I use a toolbox. I got some foam from packaging and glued it to the sides of each compartment. It works pretty well, and even my metal Eldar remain mostly intact.
