It's the rad launchers that scare me. Reduce our toughness to 2 and then open fire with all their salvo 4/2 S4 bolters, wounding on 2+, no armour (in most cases) and no FNP. Nasty!

While that looks really nasty, I'm not that worried in a way because...

Black Knights are ver' expensive, so we shouldn't see too many of them - both in terms of fairly small units and only a few of them at the very most
Black Knights only have a 3+ armour save, meaning lots of splinter will do the trick
Black Knights are fairly short ranged, so to do this they have to open themselves up to effective retaliation from splinter fire

And finally, most of our units tend to be small, inexpensive, and fold when targeted by bolters anyway.

I apologise if that's repeating the obvious, just find it it helps to lay it out like that - and the conclusions I'm drawing is that it's a very nasty, very expensive trick that should, most of the time, be one shot only due to us gunning the offending unit off of the face of the board, that most of the time will end up being overkill on a relatively inexpensive unit. When I put it that way to myself, it doesn't seem so bad. Obviously its going to be horrendous if a Succubus gets hit by one of these things, but hopefully we'll be able to keep elite units out of their way until they're dead.

I think I would start to worry again if I saw Black Knights being used as a counter-attack unit behind a wall of Tactical Marines - nigh impossible to attack outside of their threat range, and likely to severely inconvenience anything they come across.

Playing last night my son and I discovered that Ravenwing bikers are no longer fearless. Of course failing a leadership test won't happen often and there isn't much consequence to failing one, but it's a change all the same. Probably the biggest annoyance would be the rare time they flee off the table or get driven off an objective on the last turn of the game.

I was discussing this with a friend of mine and it seems rough in general (not as much for DE but still tough).

Deathwing Landraiders with a powerfield inside.

The Landraider gets a 4+ invulnerable by virtue of the powerfield.
Then for damage results has the option of forcing a reroll.

I think this is actually worse for other armies like GK or other autocannon (or equivalent) heavy lists due to the Lance. This composition makes even a squad of 10 haywire grenades from wyches assaulting not an autokill.

I'm guessing lance spam has to be the best way to deal with this but do you guys have any other suggestions?
