One thing that I find a problem in my DE list is that my troop choise has to perform to many duties. Wytches trying to kill tanks with haywire while at the same time trying to score.

Could eldar allies eather for jet bikes and/or infiltrating rangers be a good awser to this. 2 groups of jetbikes are 150 points and they are very hard to take out withut using heavy weapons because of the 36" move. Rangers have stealth. What do you think?

I find Pathfinders very useful for holding a backfield objective. 36" range on their weapons means they can still contribute to the fight and if you can get them in some ruins they have 2+ cover saves (3+ in pretty much any other cover).

*Mod Hat off*

GJB are great scoring units for us, as their MEQ statline, speed, and coversave makes them very durable. Their weakness is their weak leadership, and taking a jetlock ups their points considerably. I always take GJB as my mandatory troop slot for allies, and keep them in reserves. When they come in, they hide behind cover and out of sight until they have to jump on an objective.

I dont like Rangers/Pathfinders actually. I feel as DE dont need a static element in their army. That being said there is something to say about being able to pick out heavy weapons from a squad. Sadly I dont think they make their points back, even with being hard to remove from an objective. That being said if a static, hard unit is your cup of tea, then rangers are a decent choice for you. Just dont ever expect them to kill their points back

I have been planning of getting eldar allies, and pretty much just for the scoring units. Rangers are one I was thinking could be awesome for holding a mid-ground objective.
