| Hey there! I'm trying to put together a DE list I like and this is what I got so far. Can this work?
Archon 110 Venom Blade Clone Field Phantasm Grenade Launcher Haemonculous 50 8 Incubi 176 Raider 70 Flickerfield 10 Kabalite Warriors 110 Splinter Cannon Sybarite Raider 80 Flickerfield Night Shields 10 Wyches 150 2 Shardnets with Impalers Haywire Grenades Hekatrix Raider 70 Flickerfield 5 Wracks 70 Liquifier Gun Acothyst Venom 65 Splinter Cannon 9 Reavers 244 3 Heat Lances Arena Champion Ravager 125 Flickerfield Night Shields Razorwing Jetfighter 165 Flickerfield Night Shields
(15 pts left, taking suggestions)
So basically the Archon, Incubi and Haemon go in a Raider and advance with the Wyches and Wracks while the Warriors, Ravager and Razorwing provide fire support from the back. The Reavers act as mobile anti-tank and can lend a hand in CC if needed.

Archon 110 Venom Blade Clone Field Phantasm Grenade Launcher
venom blade is a poor choice for a combat archon and clone field is an "interesting" choice (it's only really viable with a bloodbride shardnet hareem). Haemonculous 50 8 Incubi 176
This combined with haemonculus and archon will most likely go through anything it hits this is good for most hammer units but dark eldar you ideally want to aim to be in combat or cover never out in the open aim to kill your opponents in there assault phase so you can roll into another combat without getting shot. Raider 70 Flickerfield 10 Kabalite Warriors 110 Splinter Cannon Sybarite This unit is a bit meh could do with a blaster and you could lose the sybarite and the cannon and a few bodies and still have an effective unit Raider 80 Flickerfield Night Shields 10 Wyches 150 2 Shardnets with Impalers Haywire Grenades Hekatrix
The hekatrix needs an agoniser (the agoniser being what will help you most on winning combats) I'd always say you could get away with less 7 being my favourite number but the Baron will argue that point.
Raider 70 Flickerfield 5 Wracks 70 Liquifier Gun Acothyst Acothyst is unnessecary if your not taking a special weapon with him Venom 65 Splinter Cannon 9 Reavers 244 3 Heat Lances Arena Champion
This unit is too big and unwieldy and will get shot down suprisingly easily, I'd say drop it to 3 w/heatlance and use it as a distraction suicide squad the baron would say 6 and 2 lances YMMV. Also reaver suck in cc
Ravager 125 Flickerfield Night Shields Industry Standard Razorwing Jetfighter 165 Flickerfield Night Shields I like these
(15 pts left, taking suggestions) My comments in red I think that maybe with a little rejiggling you could have a pretty good list.

Sorry about that. It won't happen again.

Archon 110 Venom Blade Clone Field Phantasm Grenade Launcher

The idea with the VB is to be able to deal with high toughness units at a cheap cost. Agoniser is better, but 4 times as costly as well. The clone field could work if the Wyches assault the same squad as the Archon, no?
Haemonculous 50 8 Incubi 176
This combined with haemonculus and archon will most likely go through anything it hits this is good for most hammer units but dark eldar you ideally want to aim to be in combat or cover never out in the open aim to kill your opponents in there assault phase so you can roll into another combat without getting shot.
Ya, that’s a worry, but I prefer a large squad here to ensure it continues having an effect throughout the game (killing Incubi isn’t THAT hard after all).
Raider 70 Flickerfield 10 Kabalite Warriors 110 Splinter Cannon Sybarite This unit is a bit meh could do with a blaster and you could lose the sybarite and the cannon and a few bodies and still have an effective unit
Blaster would be out of range most times, so it feel like a waste. This unit is mainly for backfield scoring purposes. The sybarite is mostly a fluff choice. Raider 80 Flickerfield Night Shields 10 Wyches 150 2 Shardnets with Impalers Haywire Grenades Hekatrix
The hekatrix needs an agoniser (the agoniser being what will help you most on winning combats) I'd always say you could get away with less 7 being my favourite number but the Baron will argue that point.
Agoniser seems overly expensive on hekatrix. I’m not overly worried about winning combats as the point of the unit is mostly to tarpit threats and pop tanks with haywires. Maybe it’s my inexperience with DE talking here.
Raider 70 Flickerfield 5 Wracks 70 Liquifier Gun Acothyst Acothyst is unnessecary if your not taking a special weapon with him
Again, mostly a fluff addition.
Venom 65 Splinter Cannon 9 Reavers 244 3 Heat Lances Arena Champion
This unit is too big and unwieldy and will get shot down suprisingly easily, I'd say drop it to 3 w/heatlance and use it as a distraction suicide squad the baron would say 6 and 2 lances YMMV. Also reaver suck in cc
I don’t like suicide units. 3 squads of three make the lances easy to dispatch. One big squad, while not able to attack multiple targets, can at least ensure the lances some degree of longetivity. Duly noted on CC abilites, however.
Ravager 125 Flickerfield Night Shields Industry Standard
Good stuff. Razorwing Jetfighter 165 Flickerfield Night Shields I like these
How effective are they? Are the other missile types worth it?

| Hi there
My two cents.
I concur with strange dude on most things.
Your archon is quite brave. Leaving Commoragh without a shadowfield. I've tried out the husk blade/ soultrap combo. Which is a nice combo, but too situational too my liking. So it's back to the trusted agoniser. Venom blades I keep mostly for sybarites and heamonculi.
Why the lone Heamonculus? You're paying 50 creds for just a pain token in my opinion.
8 Incubi was and still is over kill. Strange dude is absolutely right.
Sybarite for fluff? Never heard that one before:-)
The agoniser is a no-brainer for a hekatrix.
I've tried out the reavers with heat lances/blasters. And I tend to just harass small units. Making use of the 36" movement and blades. However, if this works for you. Go a head. And yes, 9 reavers are too much.
Yours B

| The reason why I didn't go with the Shadowfield is that I'm deathly afraid of rolling a one at an innopportune moment. I guess I should try it.
How about the Djinn blade? Tried that? Any good?
The lone Heamon is to give the pain token and have access to Wracks as troops.
Say I didgive the Hek an agoniser: what do I drop to get the points?

The only targets I can think of that would warrant the use of a Venom Blade shouldn't be anywhere near Incubi, so by all means drop the Clone Field for a Shadow Field. It's just a grenade carrier, right? - Quote :

All in all seems a pretty big points sink on what is still basically an AV10 vehicle. - Quote :

I really don't get this, 10pt will get you so much cooler stuff than just another S3 cc attack. - Quote :

Take it from another new guy: lots of 4++ saves and a PW that wounds everything on 4+ are a winning combo! - Quote :

EASY! Sybarite + Acothyst!
