Those pesky buildings

Hey All,

I've been on a bit of a 40k binge of late and since I think it's too cold to do any more priming, I've given some time towards building some DE themed fortifications. I'm quite fond of how 6th edition has embraced terrain in the force organization chart, but I can't wrap my head around fielding my space pirates with an imperial bastion.

So I'm currently working on a bastion and aegis defense line.

Here's the concept for the bastion- It fits the base size of the imperial bastion with a little embelishment


And here's the Aegis defense line:


I've started construction, and I'll post more when I can. Let me know what you think!

So here's how the bastion ended up turning out....


Not exactly what I had in mind, but it fit the bill well enough.
(the building on the left was an earlier de bastion mishap. The walls there were supposed to ornament the building, but in the end I scrapped it because as cool as those cuts are, they were just cool cuts slapped on a box. So I rounded out a base and built up and they'll probably feature as ruin sometime.)

Of course my bastion's still very far from being cleaned up.

The pieces in the middle were another alleged building ornamentation Idea. Cool in theory, but very impractical... I may find a use for them somewhere sometime.

I'm quite pleased with the aegis defense like as is, so I integrated that in to the bastion as well.

Of course, It's still all rough work right now.

They look good!
All the terrain the rulebook has had usually just look like some crude imperium-stuff...
Cant wait to see this finished!
