Sybarites with blast pistols? And Lances? And Blasters? *now a 1200pt list

I'm mapping out a 1200pt list.

I'm thinking a couple of archons with bloodbrides in venoms as hammers.
A couple of wych units with haywires in Venoms as suicide tank hunters.

I also want some objective holders. I'm thinking Kabalites, in Raiders. A blaster is a given. A lance, maybe. But I'm wary of a sybarite, but it pushes the unit over 200pts.
If I just take a blaster, I can afford a flier

Or lose the razor and make the kabalites 10 man squads with 3 lance weapons?

Don't think i would go for a lance and a blast pistol in the warrior squads. inevitably one or the other of the weapons you paid so many points for will get no use what so-ever. Blast pistol range is REALLY short. So it is rare that you'll want to be that close with everything else.

I would however consider dropping the razorwing for some extra beef elsewhere. At 1200 points, the amount you sink into the flyer is huge.

Think about dropping the Razorwing and one of your wych squads in favour of a Ravager, and a squad of 6 reavers with blasters or heat lances.

I'd also consider dropping the bloodbrides and venom for wyches and a raider. bloodbrides aren't worth the points (but i see how you went with them due to squad size to fit in the venom).

Archon + Shadowfield & Huskblade is 125.

Perhaps try: Archon, Venom Blade, Haywire Grenades, Shadowfield. Then give the Bloodbrides a Sarge with a Power Spear.

So, for 5 points less you get someone to handle any challenges coming the Archon's way and the Archon gets to wade through normal troops, instead of usually over-killing one sarge. This has the side benefit of giving the Archon a way to damage vehicles as well.

The 10 points saved from doing this to both Archons could then be used with the 30 points from removing Blasters to give your Kab Raiders Nightshields and Splinter Racks.

Eeek, hadnt thought about challenges.
I might have to down grade an archon and have one as a Walord smasher and the other as a unit killer (Husk/Agoniser)

Not got enough Venoms, only two, and a third raider, so will see.

Had planned an Archon, Succubus, 8 Bloodbrides in a Raider, but it was over 400pts

I wish I could put an archon on a jet bike.

We can create something kinda similar with an Autarch. Thanks to the whole Allies thing.
