Kabal of Dusk Eternal

Hi!

I was encouraged in the chat box to display my progress of building my Kabal and it's support auxiliaries. I'm more in to the gaming side while I like to paint and assemble some what. Hopefully You can point me to right direction time to time to improve my painting. While I have at least 2000 pts worth of painted Dark Eldar and Eldar allies I'd still like to expand my collection make it more variable to take to the tournaments.

I really like the models, I see you are going for a Lanceborn one, that should be interesting.... mine don't ever do much Also, I assume Baron is going to be attatched to the beastmasters?

Thanks for the comments. Yes I usually run beasts with baron, but check my latest list for new additions to the Kabal

It's now Failcast.

After painting vehicles and the Wraithknight the Archon feel so small. It is actually very much fun to paint it. Hopefully it is finished by Sunday when I go to a tournament.

I like finecast when they are a good quality. But sadly I have had my share of bad casting. Metal is not good allways ether. The Archons other head choice was not whole for example and two of my 10 Khemerae where not wholly formed.

I assumed you would count it as an Ulthwé ally, in which case I think it looks very good already (perhaps add some beige Eye of Isha somewhere); although I suppose that with some converting it could have been a mega-talos or something.

Nice stuff, i'm joining saintspirit for the idea of a talos-like Wrightknight. You can also paint the peak to make it look like a shark or something...

Story continues!

From Serbia I managed to purchase Micro Art Studios bases and decided to use them for my next set of wyches. Problem is that the wyches have a very small footprint on the base as they are normally glued to the base with support bar that goes inside the base.

Any ideas how to manage this? Is pinning a real option here as wyches boots are quite small for my fingers.

While I've been playing Eldar(with beast star) I've longed back to DE. They feel more like my army. Now my FLGS organized a painting contests for ordinary skilled painters I saw my change.

These big pictures are merciless about mistakes and blobs in painting. Last day to enter the contest is today so I don't have time to improve the model.

Somehow I missed this when it was first posted, very nice army, some cool painting skills.

Thanks. I got the fourth (4-10) place in the contest with some other guys. But anyways it was a blast to try to paint somethigh as good as you can.  

Next model on my painting table will be a fourth Grotesque. I'm going to use same thechnique as I used on Talos even though it differs from my other grots.

Those models are amazing. I just had a nerdgasm.

Slow progress:

I painted this to a painting competition but I'm not close to the best works in the same series. I would have perhaps made it to top three in under 15 year olds but that agme long gone in previous millenum.

Looking good! Love the model selection and the paint scheme is very cool. Kinda understated and gritty... I like it!
