On a more serious note, I like the list. Not a lot of people like the splinter racks, but I personally have had really good results from them. I have been running my gunboats as 10 warriors w/cannon in Raider w/ NS and splinter racks. I have gone from missing over half my shots to rerolling and hitting every shot. Consider how many shots it takes to down MEQ with their 3+ saves, you are going to want to have the rerolls IMHO.

Only question is why the Enhanced Aether Sails on the gunboat? If I remember correctly you cannot shoot if those are used. I have heard of people having decent results from using a power lance, but I may not be understanding your need for the sails.

You can see the Raider to the left with the massive sail, that's Duke's flagship and decided he needed an intimidating sail. I didn't think I'd be able to get away with using it normally and since I've paid for it I can get cover saves with it etc. It has been really handy relocating the unit too or making a rush from reserve.

I like the list and at 1650 Duke comes back in.

1750, 1850 and 2000 are where I am unsure. In an ideal world I'd have a scalable list. For me it's either add Kabalite Warriors in a Venom, Kabalite Trueborn with Lances who would then get a Venom too. Decisions..?

With almost all of your troops MSU, I would suggest making sure you have enough troops at those higher point costs, but if 4 is enough to make you comfortable then I would like to say lances. For 1500 you have 12 across 5 platforms, but if you run those higher point games you may see too much mech for that many lances to handle. You could add a blaster to he warrior venom and add another warrior venom with a blaster at 1850, or add a blaster to the warrior venom and add a 4man blasterborn in a venom at the same point costs. With either of those you would have a few points left over for upgrades and such. Not sure about the other two at the moment, but I will take a better look with Battlescribe when I get more time. Leaving for work.

Hey all,

I'm still excited for this list but am stuck with how to scale up to 1750/1850.

My options and ideas are:

9 Reavers
Farseer + 6 Windriders
Lanceborn
Blasterborn
Warriors
Venoms and Raiders

I think I would like to add one more Venom into the mix and I would say that I have had some success with Lanceborn in the past so they are on the radar.
I haven't use Blasterborn for a long time but I think they would represent a substantial threat going up the board, especially in a Raider.
Or there is always 'moar' Reavers.

Choices, choices?

'Moar' would be a lot of fun and a serious threat, not to mention distraction - 2 groups of 9 Reavers are a blast to use. The cousins would be my second choice, more scoring but there are fewer of them.

I feel that whatever I put in should give me a bit more bite.

I'm currently feeling Farseer on Jetbike, 3 Windriders and 5 Kabalites in a Venom.

Or maybe two squads of Lanceborn and Venoms.

Or a nice old unit of Blasterborn in a Raider that aims at really getting in my opponents face, an attempt to give them three tough choices.

I think the Farseer will really give the beasts a nice buff though and help me concentrate my shooting elsewhere. And we all know how good Windriders are.

EDIT: The above takes me up to near around 1750, to hit 1850 I have thought of War Walkers too.
