| Well, there's always cheating too.
Aside from that though not knowing what units you're taking, hit hard and fast?
Could be wrong here but I doubt 500 point space marines can fit very many vehicles in their list so make sure you bring some poison.

My bad. This is my idea for a list. I probably will make my raiders with just night shields. The archon with haywire and a venom blade not taking the armor. The warriors with a splinter cannon and a shredder. Nine wyches with haywire with the archon. Three reavers in reserve.

| Don't forget to roll for drugs... don't forget that reavers can move in the assault fase if they had not bladevaned... don't forget you have night vision It seems stupid but often happens in the first games | |

| If you kill a non-vehicle unit, don't forget to assign a pain token to that unit. You get it even if you didn't kill it, but it ran away via failed leadership!
Remember, that warriors inside raider are more squishy than warriors deployed in cover with empty raider near them. If you have to, don't be affraid to go to the ground in area terrain with your warriors. They get 3+ cover even if they are wholy visible in area terrain with GTG !
Remember that bikes after turboboost have 3+ jink save.
Remember that you don't have to turboboost in a straight line.
If you have wyches at like 10" away from your target, don't bother with shooting at them with pistols. 10" charge may also be a problem with even fleet, so just run. Preferably, you can turboboost them right into his face, so they can jump out and assault in proceeding turn. Risky, but might payoff.
Remember you can reroll run moves with fleet!
Remember to roll combut drugs. Remember both bikes and wyches have them.
Remember wyches have plasma grenades. Means they strike at their normal initiative if they charge through difficult terrain. (I hardly ever remember that).

| Well some news. I beat the furry smurfs in a close game. I will post a bat rep once i figure out dropbox. It went seven turns. After I lost to a Necron player. Necrons are insanely tough at 500 points. All in all I had a whole lot of fun, won a box of Hellions and want to play again. | |

| Thanks all. I must say my Wyches really shined here. Survived three turns. I think I missed up with their attacks though. Kept rolling only one attack though they had a close combat weapon and the splinter pistol. Either way lesson learned. | |

| I can see why. If you go to the reference sheet it doesn't convey everything in the unit profile. Ravenizer, I got $20 off my next purchase at my tournament. So, my FLGS is averagely generous compared to you two! | |

| It was my local store. Owner bough a decent amount of things and gave them away as prizes to winners. It was mostly last moth that this happened but since I didn't get fully done until end of the month I didn't have a chance to win anything. I do believe they were paid for by the store though. | |

| But it wasnt a GW-spefific store? So it had other than Warhammer? Best way to check that is looking does the store have a "Games Workshop" in their name | |

| Nope it was a more general store. They do Friday Night Magic as well as other ccgs and Tuesday night is role playing night. But not specific GW store. | |

| FLGS (Friendly Local Gaming Store): diversity breeds better communities!
GW's ever-harder policies of hard-sell make me feel less and less welcome, especially now that I am an old player who buys the occasional model rather than a newcomer with £££s to spend.
Congratulations on the win Retro, onwards and upwards!
