Jason came over for a game last night. He did not bring his Zombies, rather his Fateweaver flying circus list with chaos space marine allies! I was in for quite the game. The mission was "Limited Supplies" - 6 Objectives that each already have a special ability (like skyfire) attributed to them. One of each. They did not really come into play. Also First Blood is given for the first -scoring- unit destroyed.
Deployment was vanguard strike.
I won the roll to pick sides. And I took the area with most of the cathedral and the pipeline.
He won the roll to deploy, and chose to deploy first and go first.
Night Fight was in effect turn 1, but did not come into play at all

Great report, and I must say I enjoy reading written ones a bit more than videos.
Maybe it is because I can easily look back what happened, and because I can quickly read and fully understand what is going on (yeah, I find it difficult to follow some too native english speakers, Embarassed ). I also like how you have placed all possible parts of the game in the spoilers even if they didn't occur (I was excited to click on all the tags after turn 5 in case it ended there)
A little sad that Urien died so early, never even got a chance to get back some wounds!

Also, what happened to the heldrake? It just flew off the board after locked velocity?

Another great battle report!

Do you feel that the Razorwing is enough Anti-Air for your army?  This is a unique battle given the number of flying monsters makes our general volley of fire more effectiveness but am curious about the lone Razorwing.

Another great example of how important it is to play the mission.

Side question - if the creature cannot fit into the floor can it really not charge?

In your footslogging warrior squad you take a blaster and a lance. The lance I can see doing something but how well do you feel the blaster is doing? Is it worth it's point on footsloggers more or less?

Yes, vector strucked the wytches near the statue and flew off table.

No, and yes.

page 98 of the small book "units can move on the upper levels of a ruin - and only if the model can be physically placed there"

I like the lance for the long range. But not all opponents stay at arms length... sometimes the enemy comes close and anything that comes within 24" of that unit now has to deal with 2 lance weapons.

Very nice report, glad you had 3 heavy supports this time :p

I always do hate to see Urien die like this, but I won't deny it was 100% worth it.

I find it weird you still use wyches, I love the models, but I can't seem to use them anymore, prefer wracks or warriors with the current rules.
