| This is my ongoing blog for my big 2014 Dark Eldar project. Given that i probably am finishing up my Skynet Terminator project sooner than expected, I may already begin by the end of the month.
So... first few posts will be me gathering my thoughts and listing what I have available here. Having gathered so many 2nd hand bits, bobs and lots over the year it should help.
This is what i'll be going for more or less http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jtzuwcEJJvE/ULybN3m7cPI/AAAAAAAAAN0/HnU7FeXtDU0/s1600/968adf39.jpg
http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?16821-Kabal-of-the-Red-Sand/page2

What I'm probably getting to round it all out: Some Ravagers, the Eldar Prince char to kitbash my main Archon, a Haemonculi and some more raiders.
Coming up next... some preliminary army lists i'll useto build an army around. 500pts - 750ps - 1000pts - 1500pts - 1750pts - 2000pts - 3000pts

| 15.11.2013 First rough thoughts on list
1 Archon with unit of longcoat and regular Incubi either in a Raider (large unit) or 4 greatcoats in a venom. 2x 4-5 Trueborn with blasters in venom 6x 10 Kabalite Warriors with blaster or Splinter Cannon in Raider 2x unit of Reavers 3x Ravager
Alternative 'groups' or units i'll make.
-> 20 Kaballite Warriors with Splinter Cannon and Sybarite + Haemonculus (for paintoken) -> 10 man unit of converted Wraithguard 'Grotesques' with Haemonculus. Or 2x 5 with haemonculus -> Drazhar -> to use as Klaivex for my oldschool Incubi -> Slave girls as objective markers -> ... | |

| Yep i'm still glueing and working on the first batch. Then i'll take pictures of them undercoated. And after that i shall begin the first wave of painting I'm basically making this blog to force me to keep track of it all. I'm especially going to dig into it start next year. I'm mostly preparing, assembling etc atm EDIT: next weekend i'll put up some piccies of my glued force so far. I'm hoping they'll mix well enough with 'modern style' squads >_>;

| *updated* gonna start working on a few first models of basic retro Dark Eldar instead of putting up undercoated plastic i'll do my best to get a piccie up of a handful of painted warriors by next weekend. Far more productive me thinks.
UPDATE 23.11.2013 first testmodel 90% done.

| Yep I think i roughly found my scheme atm. Ain't home tonight and this afternoon but i am tomorrow so I hope to finish him off and put him up. As it's a year long project i'm taking my time. I'm starting even ahead of schedule so... quality over quantity. Want to be sure i like the colors i picked. | |

| Due to the time of year blog progress slowed. That and I've been working on 2 large scale historical models. However i did finish of 3 more warriors and a Sybarite. Of which i'll put up some pictures soon. Basing is of course something done at the end when i have a full squad done. | |

| The colour scheme comes out very nicely. I also have loads of 3rd Ed Dark Eldar, and I find the sculpts look fine if painted well. Looking forward to seeing some more. | |

| Not bad at all, though they would look even better with some extreme highlights like most of the current DE. Some very light red or pink highlights, very thin lines on the edges of the red. Made with white mostly, like 3/4 white + red or pink(very minimal amount), but you'll have to find yourself which is better and the proper ratios for both colors. It's weird at first but it's actually the reason why the current DE painted by GW look so spectacular, I had tried the same on my old incubi and people loved them, still love them. | |

| Awesome. I think i'll try that once i got a portion of my Kabal done so i can do it 'en masse'. Nice to see another Belgian here. Atm i'm painting mainly some Abaddon mecha for a boardgame but after that i should return to the DE. | |
