Hey guys!
I could use some help with my list, got a small tourny at my local club. 3 games drawn at random, think we will be 6-7 players. I know there will be a Tau player, which is unbeaten atm.. He rarely uses flyers, but usually got a few Skyfire weapons. There will be an IG, that likes tanks, transports and flyers. Necron guy that I havent met yet. A CSM or Ork player he usually have a Helldrake or Dakka jets, he likes the Daemon Prince as well. There will be a SM player as well, not sure what else.
Anyway, here is my list for far. We play with a few restrictions, to keep cheese armies away. For DE it mainly means few duplicates and no triplicates choices, transports doesnt count.
HQ:
Asdrubael Vect
w. Incubi
Troops:
10 Kabalite Warriors, in Raider with Splinter Racks and Retrofire Jets
5 Wyches with HWG, in Venoms
5 Wyches with HWG, in Venoms
Elite:
5 Incubi with Klaivex, in Raider
5 Kabalite Trueborn with 4x blasters, in Raider
Fast Attack:
5 Scourges with 2 Heat Lances
6 Reavers with 2 Heat Lances and Champion with WB
Heavy Support:
2 Ravager with NS
1 Talos Pain Engine with LG
My thoughts about the list. Vect, I like to go first and he is a killer in melee. He is with Incubi to take on almost everything. Have to be careful not to lose the transport early, so they have to walk across field. Picked a raider because of the extra HP. 10 warriors with splinter racks is a unit I have had much luck with so far, Retrofire Jets to have the option to deep strike. DS with 20 poison shots where I reroll to hit, should be good. I need more troops so just added 2 small groups of Wyches in Venoms, HWG could be very useful. Trueborn with blasters to get more heavy weapons in the list and they work great. Scourges can DS and take out a Tau tank (cant remember the name but 60 inch range at least with 9 ST and doesnt need LOS, of course, something like that) took out 1 of my skimmers per turn last game. Reavers gives me huge mobility and have worked great for me before. Only 2 Ravagers because of limitations, I like NS! Talos draws a crap load of fire and can withstand a lot, but still havent been so effective for me.
Plan is to move forward in the second turn and hope my DS units come in, to give my opponent many targets so he cant deal with most of it. It all depends on how first time develops and what my opponent brings to the table.
I am a little worried about lack of anti-air and could use more troops.
Thoughts, comments?
Thanks
