I've got a fun and fluffy one that's been doing me well so far:

Split-fire splinter cannon has been MVP every time, it's just so good. Reavers are fantastic nuisance models and are essentially your 'scorers' - send everything else to fight and use them to take objectives. Bladevanes are also sweet for smacking stuff with impunity.
I think your first list is better than the second, but I'd try and get more anti-armour weapons in there. Though kill teams only have few vehicles, if your opponent turns up with a razorback and takes the blaster out T1 you're going to have a bad time. Dark lance is way too many points for kill team without enough effectiveness. You can get 2 naked trueborn for the lance (almost) and that will always be a better option. Blaster is far superior to the lance in Kill Team because points are so tight and on a 4x4 board starting 12" on with an effective 24" range, the blaster's shorter range is a non-issue.
