Hey guys,

Started working on a harle based DE/E force, so basically this entails all my units looking like harlequin versions with a focus on the grim/terror inducing side of harlequin combat.

As such, I want to run some wraith units. At the moment I have two routes that I can see, I can go with standard models and simply paint/convert to look more harle - with perhaps a few DE accessories added. Or I can use some alternate models with conversions/kitbashes.

I was hoping the community here could throw a little input my way with ideas of alternate models. as an idea of current plans I am going to be using the necron c'tans as wraithlords or warwalkers. something along these lines:

So other models I thought about for wraiths:

Incubi
wracks
mandrakes (these 3 all with some conversion work needed, but decent sized bodies - shame they are finecast)
Tomb kings the usahbi

Thats it at the moment :/ not very extensive

OOOOh, while scanning for this image I stumbled upon these, can you tell me what models they are?
Necron forgeworld?

The other image I can't get to, blocked by work.

That last one is a conversion based on a Chaos Dwarf Forgeworld model, Fireborn I think. I've been contemplating using Vampire Count Crypt Horrors for Wraithguard for my DE, they're pretty dymically posed models so could be good for Harlies if you aren't afraid of green stuff, might look cooler as wraithblades though. Maybe combined with some of the wraithguard bits too.

I am personally a fan of the new gw plastic wraith kits. I think you could harlie them up quite easily to fit your armies theme as there are lots of flat surfaces to paint/convert and they are quite position able with a bit of cutting. Really looking forward to seeing what you do with your army Smile

Hmm vampire counts could work well, I am already planning on using the cain wraith and banshee as spiritseers so would work with a little GS. yeh I plan on getting a wraithkit, for the bits aswell as making some proper wraiths Smile Ive seen someone use woodelf treethingy-ma-bobs as wyches before I think and I have a whole load of them so hopefully planning on chopping some of those bits in.

For a little bit I was considering tomb kings tomb guards, with their big shields as wraithblades with axes, as I was in my local GW and someone had used them with a little GS all white with blue washes to create a grey knight ghost unit. looked pretty sweet, the heads all flaming and such.

I might create a more mixed looking unit and use whatever I feel fits out of all my bits boxes.

Im dying to get started but I must finish painting my unpianted models Very Happy maybe il just order them now and just not open them......
