Question to the dark kin.

How do you model your venom blades to follow wysiwyg rules for tournaments etc? Not too many kits include the venom blade and it's one of the cheap upgrades I like to take.

I currently have 2 power swords used as venom blades but I need to venom blades for my haemonculi and since these guys are Finecast the modelling is a bit of a pain in the ***.

So how do you guys do? Special blades? Special paint schemes?

Thanks in advance
C

I'm not even sure if there is an official venom blade model in the kit. I thought the sword was just a power weapon?

Anyhoo, I just take any sword/dagger that I like and give it a poisoned appearance, usually with the aid of green paint/washes.

The Wych and Kabalite kits are power swords, yes, but the Scourge kit comes with an actual venom blade. Fortunate that anyone who owns Scourges never runs a (melee) Solarite.

As to the actual question, I'm with the Count. Note that it's called a venom blade, not venom sword, and the Haemi model comes with a blade weapon, so all you need is the cliché green paintwork and you're good.

Cheers for the quick replies. I opted for the powerswords for my abberation and archon out of the simple reason that anything smaller would disappear in my bulky Grotesque conversion and with the Archon I just copy/pasted what I had already done woth the Abberation.

The Scourge venom blade was the only one I know of, but I won't buy 20+ Scourges just to saturate my need of blades Wink

Might redo the Archon with a smaller blade instead of the sword and go with the cliché poison appearance on Haemies!

Again, thanks!
